Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "Xherdan Shaqiri missed some games but since he came back he's been really positive and we are really pleased with him.

"We have been playing well for a number of weeks. We are building performances. From start to finish we were in control.

"People questioned us at the beginning but now we are allowing people to see our level.

"I didn't see what happened after full-time - there were afters from both sides."

Watford boss Walter Mazzarri told BBC Sport: "The first half was the best we have played and how I want my team to play. We have to be more aggressive in the last 25 metres.

"I tend to not comment on the referees, but today there were two very clear penalties for us. Those decisions are the ones that meant we did not go away with the three points.

"I was very happy with the performance because today we played in a very smooth way, we didn't throw long balls, we played from the defence and I liked it, they are doing what I have said."  

Hull boss Mike Phelan: "We were edgy and we gave the ball away too easily. There are lessons to be learned by all of us.

"We are under no illusions and we shouldn't be. We need to rebuild confidence and set our sights for the battle ahead. We need to do more. We are not here to lie down and let teams beat us.

"Robert Snodgrass got stood on - he's got a bruised ankle and we will assess that in the morning."

Burnley manger Sean Dyche told BBC Sport: "It was a good performance, a very authentic performance. We went away from what we're good at in the match at Southampton I thought, and we had to remind our players we build on the basics here.

"We know we have to work for everything we get and I thought that was on show today. The two goals, though, they were both real quality.

"We go to take the game on and give a performance, that was the key thing. We know if we get that right we've got a chance of getting something.

"This is a difficult place to come. We've made it that way over the last few years, and we want it to continue of course."

Everton boss Ronald Koeman told BBC Sport: "It is hard to take because sometimes football can be so unfair. We did not deserve to lose. We did so many good things but finally the result is not what we want.

"We started well, maybe we dropped a bit for the last 20 minutes of the first half. We played well in the second half, we had a good reaction and had enough chances to score.

"Burnley were very well organised and dropped back, it was difficult but I thought we played well in that time. To travel back without any points is really very disappointing. It's one of those days when you cannot believe you lost the game."

Paul Emeka Kalu: Eduardo, when he came back to the Emirates. He even scored a goal which the whole stadium applauded. 

Kelvin: David Platt returned to Villa with Arsenal, got a standing ovation and when the score was 1-0 to Villa, he then equalised and got a polite round of applause.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: "I feel good. For the first 20 minutes I felt not so good but after that we started to play our pressing, fast football against a very good team.

"That was our best performance so far this season. It was the shape and model of last season and we concentrated on doing our job. We knew our weaknesses but also strengths.

"This was not a game for Jamie Vardy just like last game was not a game for Riyad Mahrez. I want to rotate my players and now everybody is ready to fight for their place on the pitch."

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew: "The scoreline wasn't a fair reflection. We had a great start, hit the bar and that could have changed the course of the game.

"But then they cranked it up for the last 20 minutes of the first half and we struggled to hold on to them.

"The second half we had loads of chances but failed to capitalise. We were OK but their pace and power were too much for us at the end. They are champions for a reason."

Liverpool's defending from set pieces is one of their Achilles' heels. They are playing with a zonal marking system and as a player I hated it.

They do not have players on the posts at corners and it just makes it more difficult and as goalkeeper you feel more exposed.

"In the first half we were OK, just two poor mistakes. It is quality at times when we get the ball, to get in their final third.

"In the second half we had a go, it opened up at our end and Ben made some wonderful saves. We made changes, freshened it up and caused them problems.

"You know if you get a goal it puts them on the back foot and it is a shame it didn't come earlier.

"We lack certain qualities we are looking for. The squad has improved, they have faults and we accept that but they worked hard today."

Where do we stand on Liverpool as title challengers then? Genuine, bona fide chance? Or likely to come up short?

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "I am happy with the performance of my team. It is difficult against West Brom, so many balls in the air and they are so dangerous from set pieces.

"It would have been a joke if we had drawn today, it was unbelievable how we played. It was a good performance against a team like this. They were here to get something, but we never let them back into the game.

"Their corners kicks are so good, I had a feeling that 15 players in white kit were in the box. It was a big, big challenge to stay cool, stay concentrated. It is a really nice team I am really happy to have these boys around."

That is a welcome! Gary Mills has a job on his hands at York though.

Jack Goddard: Grant Holt! Norwich beat his Huddersfield team 5-0 but the only name sung at Carrow Road all afternoon was Holt's.

Sunderland manager David Moyes: "It was offside. It should be given offside. The referee thinks it is onside.

"You can tell by the referee's movement to the linesman that he is not sure, they weren't sure but it was not a goal.

"I thought the players played well. Not in the opening 20 minutes, they bossed us but we got through it and had good chances. I am very pleased with the performance but not the result."

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a dramatic end. The first 25 minutes it was by far our best 25 minutes, including last season.

"We were good, sharp, created chances and we deserved to be two up. Then they came back. And in the second half they had great chances and were dangerous on the counter attack but in the last 15 minutes we pushed more and we were looking to score.

"I cannot say it was a goal from the training ground. You expect Winston Reid to score a header but it was a great decision to come in on the edge of the box."

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe: "I am more proud of the players today than after winning 6-1 last week against Hull.

"We went toe to toe with an outstanding team and it was a game of real quality. We did not deserve to lose it, we had good moments too. We managed to nullify most of their threat."
