Southampton

Southampton boss Claude Puel speaking to BBC Sport: "We can be satisfied with this point, we played against a good team and it was important to keep a good structure. We took our chances to score and after we defended well.

"My players played just two days ago in the Europa League, they were tired, but showed good spirit and organisation.

"Against fantastic players it was good to take a point and not disappointing. It was hard to defend at the end of the game but I am very satisfied."

Manchester United will play the same way at Stamford Bridge as they did at Liverpool. They will press them high, engage with them further up the pitch and force a mistake from Chelsea. They almost did that at Liverpool, Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a great chance in the second-half. They limited Liverpool to two chances, with David de Gea making two fantastic saves.

I spoke to Jose Mourinho after the match, I said I thought he almost did a Chelsea from a couple of years back. It almost worked. That is what he is so good at.

A Chelsea win today would leave the top five separated by a single point, while a win for Manchester United would put them above Chelsea and into fifth. 

Southampton

Southampton goalscorer Nathan Redmond speaking to Sky Sports: "We can take a positive from it, come away with a point. With our mentality we want all three points even though we drew, we are frustrated to take a point but we keep moving.

"From watching them in preparation we knew they would give us chances, they only play three at the back. I was anticipating it and it was it just about keeping a cool head and putting the chance away."

Football Focus

Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson: "I think Jose will have a statue built at Chelsea." 

Former Wales striker Dean Saunders: "He is a legend at Chelsea and in the Premier League. He is a great character and tactically he is up there with the best ever."

On today's game, Lawrenson said: "Jose is not going to want to go to Chelsea and get beaten. I think it will be similar to Monday night."

Where will this  game be won or lost then? Are we expecting Jose Mourinho to park the bus? He has just shared a hug and a joke with John Terry down on the sidelines.

They won three Premier League titles together. I'm not sure I've seen Jose smile since the last one. He has a face of intense concentration.

Manchester United

Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho: "It is just a game, an important game for us against a team with the same objectives, but it is just a game.

"I have to try [to block it out]. I would lie if I say it is exactly the same, from an emotional point of view, but I have to try and make it that way.

"Wayne Rooney is injured, he was feeling it against Fenerbahce but he was keen to play for 90 minutes so he hid it and now he felt it in training."

Chelsea

Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic, who played under Jose Mourinho, on BBC Radio 5 live: "It's exciting for everyone that Mourinho is returning. It's nice to see him back. In terms of preparation nothing is different. 

"Jose will set up his team to be hard to beat. He'll make sure everybody knows their job.

"It's been a great and different experience under Conte - on and off the field the way he wants us to prepare for games and think. It's very different and it'll take time because it's only been three months. It's a work in progress and a much better feeling around the place."

Jose Mourinho did a job on Liverpool on Monday - when I looked at his team selection at Anfield I wasn't convinced, but it worked. I would expect Mourinho to nullify Chelsea's attacking threat too, which is why I am going for another draw here - I just don't think enough of the Blues' forward players are performing well enough to break United down.
