Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "I was frustrated at times because we had all manner of chances to put the game to bed.

"Swansea, I feel, will get out of the predicament they are in. You saw they have quality on the pitch.

"Wilfried Bony, it was always likely to happen, it was written in the stars tonight and it happens so often. He and Joe Allen have been excellent since they came here.

"Joe Allen is an outstanding footballer. He has that knack of anticipating where the ball is going to land and that is why I have pushed him further forwards."

Stoke City

Stoke boss Mark Hughes on Sky Sports: "Our attacking play was really good today - any number of chances could have gone in but we got the job done.

"It was great to get a third straight win, enabling us to get into a position where we feel more comfortable. We do not feel like a team that belongs in the bottom half.

"It was important to win today and get into that middle group of teams and we now have the same amount of points we had at this stage last season.

"Wilfried Bony had been playing well - his general play had been good and it was only a matter of time before he scored.

"Wilfried and Joe Allen have been outstanding since they have come here and they are doing a great job."

Wilfried Bony seems a relieved man after scoring his first goals since Boxing Day...

Manchester United at home, Everton away. It doesn't get much easier for Swansea and Bob Bradley.

Swansea boss Bob Bradley: "We had some good stretches but overall we lack confidence and in key moments we were second best tonight.

"There is no easy solution to getting confidence back. When you are going through a bad stretch you have to have belief. It was 1-1 at half-time but we didn't start the second half in a way that suggested we could win the game.

"It can be given as a penalty, it continued in to the box. The referee could have stood by his original decision." 

Bob Bradley says that his team are very short of confidence at the moment. He's got a bulging in-tray hasn't he?

This is Joe Allen's joint best return for goals/assists in a Premier League season (6) since 2011-12 (also 6).

He also said that he is confident that former club Swansea will be fine this season.

Stoke midfielder Joe Allen: "We managed to get three goals but hit the woodwork three times as well, you can't ask much more than that in the Premier League.

"The fixture list didn't help us at the start of the season, we were shipping goals and we have tightened up. We had the confidence that it would turn around.

"It's a goal drought for me, two games without a goal! I've never had a run of games in that position before [number 10] so I am still getting used to it but I am really enjoying it. So long as I can chip in with some goals and create chances, I might stay there."

Every team will be buying in January though - it can't always come down to that can it?

Stoke striker Wilfried Bony: "I am happy that we won, that's three games in a row and it's a great result. It is crazy that my first goals come against my ex-team, it is disappointing for them but that is how football happens.

"I have missed some chances but I knew the goals would come. Every game I push myself."

Stoke are better than Swansea at the moment. 

Given time and space Swansea are a good footballing side but who is going to put the ball in the net? I think they are in for a long season. They miss a leader at the back.

The key for Stoke is keeping their tempo going for a full 90 minutes because when they came off the pace tonight Swansea got at them very easily.

That's three wins in a row for Stoke now, tacked on to the end of a draw at Old Trafford. After an awful start to the season Mark Hughes has quickly turned things around.

Stoke are good when they play high tempo but when they step off the pace teams can get at them as Swansea have shown on occasion.

Swansea are very naive and I think they are in for a very long season.

Swansea will stay in 19th place, five points adrift now. Stoke climb to 12th, just tucked in behind champions Leicester.
