  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 42 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Swansea

Stoke have hit the woodwork five times this season now - three times tonight already. Bournemouth top that particular chart with a whopping 11 (Eleven).

The game that keeps on giving gives us another chance as Wayne Routledge smashes in a great shot which Lee Grant pushes over!

Erik Pieters and Ramadan Sobhi do ever so well and what a weighted ball from Joe Allen. Marko Arnautovic goes round the keeper and you think it's a simple finish with his ability and he hits the post. He should have scored for me.

Another sub, another injury. Kyle Naughton pulled up with a muscle injury and Angel Rangel is on for the visitors.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 38 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Swansea

This is getting silly now! Stoke hit the post for a third time in the first 40 minutes, and this would have been a brilliant goal.

Ramadan Sobhi starts it with a neat pass between the Swans lines to Joe Allen, gliding into space superbly. He plays a gem of a pass to find the run of Marko Arnautovic, who skips past the keeper, two men on the line, hits the post!

I think the thinking with Charlie Adam is, how can I put this, he's a bit lacking physically for 'the modern game' in midfield. But he can strike a ball superbly.

Geoff Cameron, who usually plays in there, is an athlete who can play a bit. Adam is a footballer who can run a bit. Every team's got a blend.

Charlie Adam has been consigned to a bit-part role at Stoke recently, but his left foot still seems to be a potent weapon.

Twice the Scottish midfielder has hit a post with shots outside the penalty area, twice drawing gasps of admiration and frustration from the home crowd.

The Stoke fans sense Swansea are here for the taking.

Stoke striker Wilfried Bony is playing well, the best I've seen for a long time. His movement is good and he is linking up play.

As my dad likes to say, half of the people would like to be average. Nothing wrong with that.

Plenty of action tonight and Charlie Adam now hits the OTHER post! What a great hit too, bends it around the blocking defender, past Lukasz Fabianski and bang against the woodwork.

Could easily be about 4-2 to Stoke so far.

Mo Barrow has terrific pace but as we have seen two or three times tonight he has to get control of the ball. Swansea have upped the tempo and when they play quicker they look a good side.

We are discussing Egyptians in the Premier League now, hello to you Mido, nice to see you Amr Zaki.

"I once got stuck behind Mido in the Asda in Wigan," is one of the better claims to be heard in recent times.

Anyway, back in Stoke, Swansea are seeing a lot of play in their typical, controlled style. No dramas for Stoke though.

My first proper look at Ramadan Sobhi, let's see what the 19-year-old Egyptian is all about. He's going to play out wide. He cost Stoke £5m in the summer.

There's a very early change for Stoke too - Xherdan Shaqiri limps away and Ramadan Sobhi is on.

  14. CLOSE!published at 25 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Swansea

Close again! Swansea attack this time, Fernando Llorente cushions a lovely touch into the run of Gylfi Sigurdsson and he whistles a shot just past the post. Deflected.

Neil Harris: I agree with #waddle that #Allen is playing well but who would he leave out of the Liverpool team of weekend to put him in?

Good question. Who would you leave out for Allen?

Stoke need to get the ball to Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic more. The game has gone very scrappy with both teams giving the ball away.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 22 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Swansea

Action! It stems from more awful defending from Swansea, Kyle Naughton this time treating the ball like some sort of weapon, backing away from it and missing it altogether, the bounce takes it on to Marko Arnauovic.

He tees up Charlie Adam, as technically gifted as they come, and he just passes the ball powerfully against the base of the post from 22 yards. Effortless.

The game has levelled out now after that manic first few minutes. Swansea don't appear to have had a change in style under Bob Bradley - early days I know. They have had a way of playing since the Jason Scotland days, and maybe before. A new manager doesn't mean a change of ways.

At the moment it's plenty of passing in midfield, no real attacking cut and thrust.

I'm surprised Liverpool let Joe Allen go. They used him more defensively but he is playing in more of a number 10 position for Stoke. His energy levels are fantastic.

  20. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Swansea

Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski miscues a clearance to Joe Allen midway inside the Swansea half and it says it all about his current golden touch that I'm disappointed not to see him lob it in from there. Allen does spin away from two men though. Joe Allen, the in-form number 10 in the Premier League. 2016 continues to surprise us.

Bruno Martins Indi, centre-half of my imaginary acronym XI, needs some treatment for a bang to the face. But he's OK.
