Oh what an effort! Eric Dier shocked everyone when he scored a free-kick for England in the Euros and he nearly repeats the trick, bending one over the wall and against the crossbar and away! 

You don't get much closer than that!

There is no rhythm to Tottenham's attacking play. They are knocking it in to Dele Alli and are hoping he might do something with it.

Mauricio Pochettino has his hands in his pockets and looks like a man who genuinely doesn't know what he can offer to improve his team.

Tottenham 0-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Ben Davies needs some treatment after blocking  a shot from Javier Hernandez with his ankle. A chance for Mauricio Pochettino to rally the troops and send on some instructions.

Some Spurs fans are heading for the exits already! There's at least 15 minutes left. 

Danny Drinkwater slams a hopeful shot over from a long way out. Fifteen minutes left. It's been an ugly game but it could be a very decent point for Leicester City tonight.

Tottenham have only had one or two little spells in the game and I think that is the Wembley effect.

When they beat Man City at White Hart Lane they were able to get on top of the opposition and they haven't been able to do that tonight.

They haven't been able to stretch Leverkusen.

The heartache continues for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb who are now trailing Sevilla 2-0. Sergio Escudero plays a one-two with Vitolo to put another past the Zagreb keeper Dominik Livakovic. 

As it stands Sevilla will go through as Juventus are also winning. Dinamo on the hand will not make the last 16 unless they can turn things around. The Croatian side need at least a draw, and even then Juventus would need to lose for them to stand a chance.

Dinamo Zagreb have only scored three times in their last 10 away Champions League matches. 

Can Georges-Kevin Nkoudou save Spurs tonight? He is on in place of Son Heung-min. Spurs have been very disappointing this evening. They have just under 20 minutes left to sort themselves out.

And now Leicester are in real danger! A cross from the left by Ludwig Augustinsson is touched on and somehow Kasper Schmeichel and Christian Fuchs combine to hack it clear from the goal-line. 

That is a big goal in this tight group. As it stands Tottenham would be third on four points, with Leverkusen in second on six and Monaco top on eight.

That is a hammer blow for Spurs - but Bayer Leverkusen have been threatening all evening.

It was a scrappy build up but a cool finish from Kevin Campl. Wembley is a very quiet place right now.

There is probably not a team in Europe more on top than Sevilla.

They lead 10-man Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 and have had 20 shots so far. If the scores stay as they are - with Juventus leading Lyon in the group's other game - the two winners on the night will be guaranteed to go through to the knockout stage.
