PSG deserved that. They have looked much more purposeful than Arsenal. The Gunners have not got going at all yet.

    Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 Manchester City

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

What a hit! There haven't been many chances and although Manchester City have had plenty of possession, Gladbach have looked dangerous on the break.

Was John Stones strong enough? I don't think he was. There wasn't a foul there.

What a pass. What a pass! Neymar gets the loft wedge out of the bag, does the whole Celtic defence with a chip over the top and Lionel Messi meets it on the bounce to flash in via the inside of the post.

City have looked fragile at the back on the rare occasions that they have lost the ball and they are punished as Lars Stindl manhandles John Stones down the wing, he races clear to pick out Raffael on the edge of the box, one touch and then bang into the back of the net!

Great strike, weak defending. Raheem Sterling was the last man there...

    Arsenal 0-1 Paris St-Germain

Edinson Cavani has scored his fifth goal in the Champions League this season. Only once has he scored more goals in a complete campaign: six for PSG in 2014-15.

He could have had six in the first game alone.

As it stands PSG will win the group.

    Edinson Cavani (18 mins)

He missed a hatful of chances in the first meeting of these sides but Edinson Cavani has put PSG ahead tonight.

Blaise Matuidi rolls Shkodran Mustafi on the left-hand side of the area, piles it across goal and the lanky Uruguayan sticks out a boot to turn it home.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0 Manchester City

Gladbach skipper Lars Stindl wanted a foul a moment ago, didn't get it and now is booked for a hack on Kevin de Bruyne.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Arsenal 0-0 Paris St-Germain

PSG go close to bundling the ball over the line from a corner, Edinson Cavani wins the header and Thiago Motta gets a touch on it inside the six-yard box, not a clean one though and it's easily hacked out.

  10. 'Sizing Celtic up?'published at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

    Tom English
    BBC Sport Scotland

Celtic Park, you will not be surprised to hear, is right up for this. Incredible atmosphere as the home team make a combative start, diving into tackles, chasing and harrying and drawing the noisy approval of their fans.

You feel that Barcelona are just sizing up Celtic, though. They've got Messi into a little space a few times in the opening 10 minutes. For Celtic, this is a hell of a lot better beginning than the previous meeting. Celtic were more or less done and dusted by now at Camp Nou.

    Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0 Manchester City

Not much going on in Germany to be honest. Manchester City have hogged the ball in the opening 10 minutes, but their array of attacking talent has not produced fireworks yet. Gladbach have had both of the match's shots on target.

    Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

Brendan Rodgers wants a foul in midfield - but he must be pleased with this opening 15 minutes. His side look a threat going forwards and the Barca wizards are yet to cast any spells.

No goals so far from the other games around Europe...

A reminder of the other fixtures this evening:

    Ludogorets 0 - 0 Basel

    Napoli 0 - 0 Dynamo Kiev

    Atletico Madrid 0 - 0 PSV Eindhoven

Pretty sure there were at least four goals in Dortmund by this point last night...

  14. 'A formidable opponent'published at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Arsenal 0-0 Paris St-Germain

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

PSG coach Unai Emery is a European specialist after winning the Europa League three seasons in succession with Sevilla - outmanoeuvring Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool to do it in Basel in May.

He is already in animated form in his technical area, the familiar slicked back hair glinting in the floodlights. He is a formidable opponent in European combat.

Groans from the home fans as they give the ball cheaply away, Jesus Navas into space but you can guess what's coming - the cross is no good.

    Arsenal 0-0 Paris St-Germain

Edinson Cavani is close to meeting a cross into the middle for PSG, but it's a fairly slow-paced start at the Emirates. Both sides already through and it shows.

  17. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic 0-0 Barcelona

The standing section at Celtic Park is bouncing as Scott Sinclair twice gets away from Sergi Roberto - who is not the full-time answer at right-back for Barca - but on each occasion is squeezed out of space.

    Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0 Manchester City

Decent atmosphere inside Borussia Park, 'Blue Moon' on repeat in the away end. Raheem Sterling is busy down the left but can't find a team-mate. Fabian Johnson then has a shot at the other end but he never gets hold of it and it's an easy save for Claudio Bravo.

Get the ball to Giroud - that's the Arsenal way when the big man is playing. And they nearly find him too with an early right-wing cross.
