A driving run down the right from the in-form James Forrest wins Celtic a corner. Leigh Griffiths takes it - and it was him who picked out Moussa Dembele for Celtic's fourth in the first leg - but this time although he finds Mikael Lustig, his shot is over the bar.

    Pat Bonner
    BBC Scotland pundit

"This is the night Craig Gordon has to perform. This is the night where it's not about build up, it's about keeping the ball out of the back of the net. Don't make any silly mistakes. When there are big moments, and for sure there will be big moments, if he does what he's done in the past then he'll do Brendan Rodgers a real favour."

  13. 'This game is more than just financial riches'published at 19:15 British Summer Time 23 August 2016

Hapoel Beer Sheva v Celtic (19:45)

    Tom English
    BBC Sport Scotland

"This is the £25m match (minimum) but it's not just about financial riches to Celtic, it's about their return to relevance at the top table of European football, it's about restoring their name after the wounding failures against Legia Warsaw, Maribor and Malmo in recent seasons.

"In short, it's about glory - what football should always be about."

Celtic have lost a three goal lead in Europe before, but not since 1964.

In the semi-finals of the European Cup Winners Cup, Celtic defeat MTK Budapest 3-0 in front of 60,000 fans at home. Stevie Chalmers grabbed a double and Jimmy Johnstone added one to put Jimmy McGrory's men within touching distance of the Brussels final.

However, it all went wrong in the searing Hungarian heat and they lost the return leg 4-0 and missed out on a chance to take on Sporting Lisbon in the final.

  19. Scotland's youth can 'step up'published at 18:10

Scotland's youngsters will be given a chance to shine for the senior national side, according to Under-21 boss Ricky Sbragia.

"I think these lads will be given that opportunity to step up," said Sbragia after naming his squad for next month's Euro 2017 qualification double header against Macedonia and Ukraine.

"You can never knock experience and at A-team level you probably need it. But the induction of young players is refreshing and the fact they are playing first-team football on the whole is important. Guys like Jack Hamilton have gone into the Hearts team and done extremely well. He deserves to go up to the full squad.

"Kieran Tierney has been absolutely fantastic for Celtic and he too deserves his place. Likewise with Callum Paterson and Barrie McKay. They are now keeping their places in the full squad too.

"The Under-21s is about developing players and I think there is an abundance of players that can make the step up."

  20. Celtic changes?published at 17:58

    Liam McLeod
    BBC Sport Scotland in Israel

"A three-goal advantage - you can't really buy that when you come to an away tie, especially when you have Celtic's record away from home in Europe.

"I would expect Celtic to score this evening and if they can score nice and early then, if it's not put to bed already, then surely it will be.

"Nothing official as yet [in terms of Celtic team news] - Patrick Roberts is knocking on the door, but I think it's probably going to be too soon for him.

"Besides, James Forrest has been playing really well on the right-hand side. Scott Sinclair has also been on form on the left.

"Nir Bitton, back on home territory, I would expect him to come into the side."
