Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark: "It feels like a very good performance. I thought we were excellent. We have only been pegged back by a world-class free-kick. We have to knock the negativity around this football club on its head. It's not doom and gloom in our dressing room. It's a very, very long shot (that Chris Burke would sign). He's a fantastic pro. He's great to have around. It would be difficult but I would love it to happen. It's tough to single out anybody. We had five academy players in the starting 11, six if you include Barrie McKay in the Rangers team! It's a great credit to the people behind the scenes. They deserve a pat on the back. I've said that's the standard for our performance level."

The Kilmarnock fans, many of whom may have been flummoxed by the huge changes to the club's personnel, will have been heartened by that performance. Well organised and bags of fight.

Former Rangers winger Peter Lovenkrands on new Gers striker Joe Garner: "I didn't feel that we saw enough of him. I think it's down to really good defensive work. You can see his movement is great, he makes a nuisance of himself. Killie made it very difficult for him and all credit to them."

BBC Scotland football pundit Peter Lovenkrands: "Rangers will be disappointed. It was there for the taking. Rangers were coming in waves at Kilmarnock but fair play to them - they stood up well to Rangers. Rangers didn't capitalise on it."

That was a really entertaining 100 mins (45+5 x2) of football. A point each seems about right. Killie were the better team until James Tavernier beauty of a free-kick levelled matters. But once Greg Taylor was sent off it was one-way traffic and Rangers had several chances to win it.

Harry Forrester works a yard of space for himself in the Killie box but his shot is too high to trouble Jamie MacDonald's net.

There are five minutes of injury time, most of them gone. It looks like a draw.

Barrie McKay's inviting corner kick is almost met by Rangers defender Clint Hill, with a flailing Killie arm somewhere in the melee causing Rangers fans to claim for a penalty. But it's not and Killie can take the sting out of things by taking their time over a goal-kick.

The Killie players look as exhausted as Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro after their Olympic epic. Can they hang on to earn a point? Rangers are pushing them hard.

Barrie McKay is caught after he had cut the ball back in the penalty box but the referee is not interested in awarding a penalty. Rangers are furious! At the other end, Kris Boyd holds the ball up inside the box but his lay-off to Dean Hawkshaw results in a poor shot by the young midfielder.

Gary Dicker is lucky not to have been penalised for a trip on Andy Halliday in the D of the Killie box.

Just six minutes left for 10-man Killie or full-strength Rangers to find a winner.

George Green, the 20-year-old on loan from Burnley, is on for Killie, with the impressive Greg Kiltie coming off.

Kris Boyd is booked for kicking the ball away at a free-kick. A bashful grin crosses his face.

Meanwhile, Charlee Adam replaces Killie team-mate Adam Frizzell.
