  • Willian & Costa earn Chelsea win at Hull

  • Watford & Bournemouth in entertaining 2-2 draw

    Watford 0-1 Bournemouth

Troy Deeney goes all Rene Higuita and nearly levels! The Watford skipper's scorpion kick at the far post forces Artur Boruc into action. Better from the Hornets. Can they bag a leveller?

  2. Postpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

This is much better from Sunderland. Some urgency and passion to their play as Jermain Defoe drives into the area but he's well tackled, and then Wahbi Khazri slides in hard to win it back.

    West Ham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Finally West Ham introduce the ball to Victor Valdes' gloves. The Boro keeper's first save of the match is routine, Michail Antonio's 20-yard shot lacking pace and power.

  4. Postpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

Centre-back turned goalscoring midfielder Paddy McNair swivels to fire in a loose ball from a corner - but it's deflected wide.

    Sunderland have started well though.

  5. League One updatepublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

In the battle between the top two, leaders Scunthorpe have taken a 1-0 lead against Bury. Scott Wiseman slammed in at Gigg Lane three minutes before the break.

Bradford stand to go second thanks to Billy Clarke's 26th minute effort at Chesterfield.

Oldham could finish the day bottom. They are losing 1-0 at home to the MK Dons.

Coventry, who started the day bottom on six points from 10 games and without a manager after Tony Mowbray's resignation, are winning at Port Vale through Marvin Sordell's goal.

  6. 'Costa needs to come to the party'published at 16:04 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Chelsea are very slow and very laboured. There's nothing dynamic to their play. They really need Diego Costa to come to the party and show more in the final third of the pitch. Conte must have known Hull would set up like this.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Lovely foot work from Robert Snodgrass as Hull threaten an early sucker punch, but he is eventually blocked out of it.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Tactical change at the break for the Hammers. On comes Italy international Simone Zaza - yet to score since arriving from Juventus - for the unimpressive Gokhan Tore.

  10. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

Sunderland's bench isn't exactly awash with attacking options. They do have youngsters Lynden Gooch and George Honeyman available, but that's about it.

Newcastle could go top if they hold on to their 1-0 lead at bottom side Rotherham. Winger Christian Atsu, on loan from Chelsea, produced a great strike to give Rafa Benitez's men the advantage.

Sam Baldock has given Brighton a 1-0 lead at Sheffield Wednesday. They will move up to third as it stands.

Skipper Kyle Bartley has put Leeds 1-0 ahead against Yorkshire rivals Barnsley. This would be Leeds' fourth league win in five.

Jordan Hugill has given Preston a 2-0 lead at home to Aston Villa. Villa have not won in eight league games.

Chelsea have had a lot of the ball but Hull have been organised. Every time they can't break them down with four men at the back, five in midfield.

Chelsea need to show more inventiveness for me. They know they were going to get that kind of display from Hull.

Ben, London: Not sure why Matic is playing (very poor), should be Fabregas or Oscar, or at least play with two strikers! Conte did well to drop Ivanovic. Ben, London
