    West Ham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Route one at its finest. Antonio Barragan hoofs the ball forward - Peter Kay style - and Jordan Rhodes nearly makes a mug of some ponderous goalkeeping from Adrian. Rhodes lobs the ball towards the net, but can't take Winston Reid out of the equation. He lumps the ball clear and that should be about that.

West Ham have had a lot of the ball but it's just not going their way at the moment. They are knocking on the door but can't find a way in.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Ryan Mason has a go, and it's a good go too. He hits a swerving shot from 25 yards and Thibaut Courtois has to push it clear.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Middlesbrough

When things aren't going your way...

Boro are again slow to close down Mark Noble - and nearly pay the price. The West Ham skipper picks up the ball on the edge of the box, looks up and curls against the away crossbar.

The ball doesn't drop to a claret and blue shirt, Boro hoof clear.

Hull have defended so, so well. You have to defend that box with your life and that is what they have done.

A couple more minutes and it will have been a satisfactory first half for them.

    Watford 0-1 Bournemouth

Watford are far from chucking the kitchen sink at Bournemouth. More a couple of spoons and possibly a small teacup. Nordin Amrabat has a couple of opportunities from the right side of the box, only to see Artur Boruc block both.

  9. League Two updatepublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Leaders Plymouth lead Yeovil thanks to Jimmy Spencer's solo effort.

Third-placed Doncaster are one of five teams on 17 points but sit in second as it stands having carved out a 2-1 lead at fourth-placed Portsmouth.

Irish striker Padraig Amond has scored twice in 36 minutes to give his Hartlepool side a 2-0 lead at Grimsby.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:44 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

A huge chance for West Brom to double their lead! Again, one pass is all that is needed to slice the Sunderland back four into a sandwich, James McClean is McClean through on goal, in a very similar position to where Nacer Chadli scored - but this time the former Sunderland man can only fluff a shot tamely across the face of goal.

Tony Pulis throws his water bottle down. He knows that could be massive.

  11. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Middlesbrough

Much better from West Ham. Stewart Downing smashes a free-kick into the home wall - and then the Hammers scamper forward like a flock of sheep let out of a pen.

Michail Antonio leads the charge, looking left to see skipper Mark Noble in support. Boro back off and back off, allowing to Noble to drill inches past the right-hand post from 20 yards.

    Hull 0-0 Chelsea

Plenty of huff and puff but no quality from Chelsea so far this afternoon. At all. This has not been great.

  13. 'Chadli has real quality'published at 15:38 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

    Jason Roberts
Former West Brom striker on Final Score

Nacer Chadli relieves a lot of pressure with his pace and his physicality. He's got real quality and it's a great finish. What he gives his pace and you can see why Tony Pulis went out and paid what he did for him. Yes, it's bad defensively from Sunderland but you have to give Chadli credit as well. He didn't give Jordan Pickford a chance with the finish.

  14. Postpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

You could hear, see, the confidence draining from the Sunderland players the moment that goal went in. David Moyes needs to gee his players up, and fast. They had been doing OK.

That's rubbish from Heurelho Gomes in the Watford goal! He should have saved that.

Plenty of endeavour in east London. Not much attacking quality. Neither keeper has got their gloves dirty yet.

  17. goal

GOAL - Sunderland 0-1 West Brompublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Nacer Chadli (35 mins)

He has looked the classiest act on the field so far and Nacer Chadli strokes West Brom ahead with a beautifully composed finish. Claudio Yacob wins the ball in midfield, Matt Phillips takes it on and then slips in Chadli between centre-half and right-back. He has lots to do but calmly picks his pot, beating Jordan Pickford and finding the corner from 15 yards out.

  18. League One updatepublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Fourth-placed Northampton could go second depending on results today, and they lead against Bristol Rovers, thanks to Alex Revell.

Fleetwood have lost their previous three league matches but lead sixth-placed Sheffield United through David Ball's effort.

Dom Poleon scores his sixth goal in his last seven games in all competitions to give struggling Wimbledon a 1-0 lead over Gillingham.

  19. 'Sunderland should keep Moyes whatever'published at 15:34 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Sunderland 0-1 West Brom

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa and England striker

I think David Moyes is a good manager. Has he got the tools to work with at the moment at Sunderland? Probably not. If you do go down you have to keep hold of them.

Sunderland's defence is like a sieve at the moment. They are just leaking goals, but they have been poor there for many years. You look at their games and wonder, where are they going to get points from?

When you have got Jermain Defoe going through one-on-one, like he has today, you expect him to score. You know your luck is out when one of the top strikers around is missing chances.

    Callum Wilson (31 mins)

We have a goal! I repeat, we have a goal!! It's only taken half an hour.

Callum Wilson bags for Bournemouth, flicking in Junior Stanislas's right-wing cross at the near post. Keeper? Questions might be asked of Heurelho Gomes who seemed to let the ball squirm under him.

Wilson doesn't care. That's his second of the season.
