Palace continue their assault and win a free-kick for an Idrissa Gueye foul on Andros Townsend that earns the Everton man a yellow card. The free-kick is wide left.

That prompts the first change for the home side. Ross Barkley, who has provided little, is replaced by Kevin Mirallas.

Palace asking plenty of questions of Everton. Four corners in as many minutes peg the home side in their own box.

Damien Delaney sees a shot deflected over from the third before the fourth is returned after an initial clearance and headed into the hands of Maarten Stekelenburg by James Tomkins.

Palace are looking the most likely to grab a winner at the moment. Jason Puncheon's free-kick prompts a few seconds of chaos before Maarten Stekelenburg cleans deck with a big punch to send the ball spinning out of play.

Now Gareth Barry goes in to the book for giving away a free-kick, from which Palace have a chance to shoot. It is about 35 yards from goal. Andros Townsend fancies it...

Andros Townsend has gone in to the book for trying to foul Ross Barkley. He didn't manage it but the referee went back and showed him a card.

Cleared off the line! Barkley swings a corner to the near post where it is met by a glancing header from Gareth Barry. Palace are indebted to Jason Puncheon on the post, who clears the ball away before it can cross the line.

Does the assistant think James McArthur is blocking the keeper or has made contact for the disallowed Delaney goal? It could well be as the midfielder was offside following the defender's header. However, McArthur doesn't make contact and isn't that close to the keeper. Palace will be fuming if they don't win this.

Spectacular acrobatic stuff from Bolasie as he rises to overhead kick a cross from the right. He makes decent contact but sends the ball wide of the post.

I suspect we are in for a really good last 30 minutes here.

James Tomkins is a yard offside but crucially Damien Delaney is a yard onside and that is a poor decision to give.

There were no complaints from the Everton defence. They knew Delaney was onside. The referee should have overturned it but I suppose he has to go with his assistant if he's not certain.

Everton are having to dig in now. Palace fancy a second.

Palace have the ball in the net again... but it is ruled out. Damien Delaney rises in a packed box to meet a cross from the right and finds the same corner that Benteke hit not long ago. The flag is up, though. It doesn't look to be Delaney who is off. It is Tomkins, who was running back and not exactly involved in play.

It should be 2-1 to Everton. Yannick Bolasie does brilliantly to get to the byline down the left and cross low into the box. The ball falls to Idrissa Gueye, who looks certain to score but sends his shot into the diving Martin Kelly.

Christian Benteke has the height advantage. In standing the ball up, Joel Ward knows that. It's superb from the striker and it's an example of Palace playing to his strengths. A brilliant header.
