Everton come again and win another corner. This time it is pulled back to Coleman on the edge of the box. The full-back turns in a circle and is forced to shoot with his left foot. Unsurprisingly, it lacks power and direction and floats harmlessly wide.

Romelu Lukaku is like a tank, driving at speed towards the Palace box. It takes a foul to prevent him making it, giving Evrton a free-kick that Ross Barkeley curls in but a yellow-shirted defender heads clear.

Everton know Wilfried Zaha is a threat. There were three players around him just before that free-kick - they know he is dangerous and unpredictable.

Andros Townsend looks to curl the free-kick but hits the wall. Everton immediately spring a counter-atack but Bryan Oviedo over-hits his cross out of play for a goal kick.

Palace have a free-kick in a great position as Andros Townsend is felled by Ashley Williams. It is about 25 yards out, very central...

Palace are starting to show a bit more in attack now. Jason Puncheon, Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend are picking up the ball and running at the Everton defence. They have still yet to link up efficiently with Christian Benteke, though.

Romelu Lukaku's first effort at goal is a powerful one - a low drive from an angle in the box that is straight at Steve Mandanda.

Yannick Bolasie fancies this tonight. He's on fire.

The first care goes to Bryan Oviedo, who pulls back Wilfried Zaha. I reckon we might see the Palace player have a little run or two at Oviedo before this game is done.

Well played Wilfried Zaha. He drives at pace down the right, leaving a trio of Everton men in his wake. Unfortunately for Palace, his low cross is too close to Maarten Stekelenburg, who gathers.

Everton have dominated the opening 15 minutes - and here's the statistical evidence to prove it.

The Toffees have enjoyed almost 75% possession, as well as spending almost half of the game in the final third.

Everton think they have a penalty as Bryan Oviedo is sent flying in the box by a clear foul from Damien Delaney. They would have had a spot-kick too, but for an offside flag against Oviedo as he ran through.

Great hold up and lay off by Romelu Lukaku, good carry of the ball but an awful shot by Ross Barkley, who fires his effort over the bar by about seven Peter Crouches.

Everton have a three-quarter share of possession so far. They've made a really promising start.

Everton's momentum is building and they are passing the ball very well.

That's superb play by Bolasie and he put in a really good ball. Damien Delaney just leans into Romelu Lukaku and puts him off. Superb defending.

Great cross. Yannick Bolasie cuts inside and picks out Romelu Lukaku at the back post but Damien Delaney does just enough to get his head to the ball and concede a corner.

Williams is again well-positioned from the corner but his air-shot means a decent chance goes begging.

Everton win another corner through good attacking work from Coleman again. Barkley's delivery is better this time and Ashley Williams has space in the box but heads straight at his defensive partner Phil Jagielka.

A little deflection means a second corner but Palace manage to scramble it clear. Good pressure from the home side.

Everton corner. Good work from Seamus Coleman to win it as Damien Delaney cuts out his run down the right. Ross Barkley's delivery is poor, to the back of the box and Palace are able to clear.

Wilfried Zaha gets a chance to run at the Everton defence down the right but Ashley Williams pelts across to smash the ball out of play.

Moments later, Williams is forced to head Joel Ward's cross behind for the first corner, which is headed away at the near post.
