  2. Post-match reaction: Stam questions McCleary dismissalpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Barnsley 1-2 Reading

Reading boss Jaap Stam qusetioned goalscorer Garath McCleary's red card in their 2-1 win against in-form Barnsley.

"Of course, Garath knows what he's done and does feel guilty because he was playing a fantastic game until then, but I think you have to question whether something like that can't just see a yellow card given," Stam said.

Barnsley can build on their defeat by the Royals and continue their fine start to the season, according to boss Paul Heckingbottom.

"We've got good players - good players who work their socks off - and we want to learn from today and get better and better with each game," he said.

  3. Post-match reaction: 'Defence can help Wigan climb table'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Wigan 0-0 Fulham

Wigan Athletic manager Gary Caldwell says improving their defence will help them move up the Championship table, after their goalless draw against Fulham.

"We've scored in all but one game this season, and that is our main strength. We are very good going forward and that will get us points this season. If we can get the defending bit right, we'll be very difficult to play against," he said.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic was dissatisfied with his team's attacking performance against the Latics.

"We are a new team and we are trying to build something different. The last few games we have been playing well but we didn't create enough chances and didn't get enough goals," Jokanovic said.

  4. Post-match reaction: 'Norwich desire key to win'published at 19:45 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Nottingham Forest 1-2 Norwich City

Norwich City boss Alex Neil says his side's desire to win was key to them beating Nottingham Forest 2-1 at the City Ground.

"I just questioned them. I asked them how much they wanted it. Did they want to go on and win this game? I told them that if they were going to win the game they were going to have to want it more than Forest," said Neil.

Nottingham Forest head coach Philippe Montanier says he was disappointed in his team's performance against the Canaries.

"We did not put our opportunities away. We did not choose our passes well; we did not create enough opportunities to score. It is disappointing but our performance was not sufficient against a good team like Norwich."

  5. Post-match reaction: 'Newcastle need to analyse defeat by Wolves'published at 19:41 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Newcastle 0-2 Wolves

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez says his side need to work out what went wrong in their 2-0 home defeat by Wolves.

"It's a bad day, but we have to analyse what was wrong and try to change it. It's not that you have to forget - you have to forget, but try to understand why and try to correct things as soon as possible," he said.

Wolves' win against the Magpies answered their critics after their 4-0 home drubbing by Barnsley, according to head coach Walter Zenga.

"The players wanted to see a reaction themselves to show that the last 15 minutes was a shock for everybody. Besides the fact that we won 2-0 here in Newcastle, the spirit of the team, how they approached the game, how they started the game, how they played is a big answer to everybody."
