  1. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 34 mins

It's fairly easy to see why both teams are lacking goals so far this season. They're showing plenty of endeavour and heart, but a real lack of quality in the final third.

At the moment, it's hard to see where a goal is coming from.

  2. ouch!

Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 30 mins

Oh, that's got to hurt. Liam Palmer takes an accidental forearm in the mouth from Birmingham winger Jacques Maghoma.

He'll have a bit of a swollen lip, but luckily for Wednesday fans he's back on his feet. Half an hour gone, no goals, but a fair bit of action.

  3. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 28 mins

Blues boss Gary Rowett was going absolutely bonkers on the touchline after that flowing move a few moments ago.

It appeared Glenn Loovens took down Jacques Maghoma in the box after he shifted the ball towards David Davis.

Strong claims for a penalty there, but nothing given.

  4. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 26 mins

Birmingham finally string a move together, but still can't get a shot away.

Clayton Donaldson dances towards the edge of the area and clips a lovely pass to Jacques Maghoma - but just as the midfielder tries to find David Davis, Adam Reach steps in and nicks the ball off Davis' toes.

  5. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 22 mins

It's all Sheffield Wednesday at the moment. Fernando Forestieri finds some room on the edge of the box but his shot is blocked by Ryan Shotton.

Birmingham haven't got into the game at all.

  6. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 19 mins

Oh, that cross from Sheffield Wednesday's Liam Palmer was absolutely itching for a striker to get his toe on. But it skirts along the six-yard area and goes out.

Moments later Almen Abdi heads over from inside the area for the visitors. The game has suddenly come alive.

  7. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 17 mins

I mentioned the sun was peeping through earlier, and it seems to be in the eyes of Sheffield Wednesday keeper Keiren Westwood.

He's donning a rather fetching cap. As you can probably tell by my fashion description, it's gone fairly quiet in the Midlands.

  8. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 12 mins

Blues midfielder Che Adams is looking lively so far. The former Sheffield United man bursts down the right and forces a corner.

But it comes to nothing. It's a decent start to the game from both sides, with plenty of attacking intent.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 7 mins

    Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wed

What a save from Birmingham goalkeeper Adam Legzdins.

Owls striker Fernando Forestieri finds himself with space in the box from Steven Fletcher's fine pass, but Legzdins palms away his fierce shot.

Big, big opportunity for the visitors.

  10. Birmingham 0-0 Sheff Wedpublished at 4 mins

It's a tense, cagey, midfield battle so far. I'm not expecting a goalfest in this one...both sides have just eight goals so far each in seven Championship games.

So get ready for a 4-4 thriller!
