Wolves have shown plenty of drive and determination following the heavy midweek defeat against Barnsley and they're rewarded with a goal.

Chancel Mbemba turns the ball into his own net following a dangerous cross from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

    Newcastle are shellshocked.

  4. Bristol City 0-0 Derbypublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Things picking up a touch at Ashton Gate.

Will Hughes goes close for Derby as he gets his head on the end of Ikechi Anya's cross from the left. It goes inches wide of the Bristol City goal much to the midfielder's anguish.

  5. Barnsley 0-1 Readingpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Barnsley show a first real sign of attacking intent at Oakwell.

Adam Armstrong and Sam Winnall both combine in the opposition's area, but Winnall scuffs a shot wide of the mark when in a decent position.

Reading still ahead through Garath McCleary's earlier goal.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Newcastle 0-0 Wolves

What an absolutely magnificent save from Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme.

The Nigerian dives full stretch to his left to keep out Ayoze Perez's fierce shot from 12 yards.

    That was world class.

  7. Huddersfield take the leadpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Huddersfield 1-0 QPR

I mentioned earlier that Newcastle could go top - not if Huddersfield beat QPR! 19-year-old Kasey Palmer, on loan from Chelsea, has put David Wagner's Championship leaders ahead.

  8. Bristol City 0-0 Derbypublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Little to report from Ashton Gate from the opening 20 minutes in the clash of the side who've made a promising start and the side who can't buy a goal.

Matej Vydra fires an effort wide for Derby while City are yet to really test Scott Carson in goal.

  9. Goals from League One and Twopublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

We're just a quarter of an hour in but there's been plenty of action in League One and Two so far.

In League One, bottom of the table Rochdale have enjoyed a dream start against Fleetwood, with Matthew Lund putting them ahead while Bury lead away at Swindon, Sheffield United are beating Peterborough, Chesterfield are on top against Northampton and Charlton are winning against Wimbledon.

Meanwhile in League Two, Notts County took the lead on four minutes against Cheltenham Town early on through Jonathan Forte's goal while Colchester are a goal to the good against Barnet courtesy of Tarique Fosu-Henry's close-range strike.

Not a lot of goals around so far elsewhere. Just one to be precise. Danny Ward has put Rotherham 1-0 up at bottom side Blackburn.

Owen Coyle is still looking for his first win as Rovers boss don't forget.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

    Newcastle 0-0 Wolves

Oh my word, how are Wolves not in front?! It's absolute madness inside the Newcastle penalty box as Helder Costa's shot is blocked on the line, Newcastle don't clear and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson's follow up clips the top of the bar.

Very bright start from the visitors, but they should be ahead.

  12. goal

Reading take the lead from the spot, well sort of.

Garath McCleary's initial effort was saved by Adam Davies' legs, but the Jamaica international was there to put the rebound away.

  13. PENALTY TO READINGpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Jon Swift is tripped in the Barnsley area as Garath McCleary puts a ball in for the midfielder.

Barnsley keeper Adam Davies brings him down and a penalty is awarded.

  14. Newcastle 0-0 Wolvespublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Wolves debutant Romain Saiss has his head in his hands. The midfielder heads over from a corner when he really should have got it on target.

The visitors are the better side at St James' Park in the opening 10 minutes.

  15. Barnsley 0-0 Readingpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 17 September 2016

Great start for visitors Reading at Oakwell against free-scoring Barnsley.

Yann Kermorgant comes close to scoring for the Royals in the opening couple of minutes after a ball in across the face of goal.

Barnsley scramble clear for a corner.

The Pilgrims struck twice in the opening 26 minutes through Graham Carey and Paul Garita and now go four-points clear of second-placed Portsmouth at the top of the table as it stands.

The defeat was Exeter's sixth in the league so far and they are without a win at home in League Two this season.
