  4. Saints' Swanson a doubt for Hearts clashpublished at 10:27 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

A bit more injury news for you.  St Johnstone's in-form midfielder Danny Swanson is a doubt for Saturday's Premiership clash with Hearts in Perth, after coming off 20 minutes from the end of last Saturday's 2-0 win at Partick Thistle, in which he set up both goals.

"He got a knock on his thigh," explained Saints boss Tommy Wright. "He is doubtful for Saturday but if he misses out, he will be ready for the cup tie with Aberdeen. We will assess it as the week progresses but it is not a major issue."

Saints travel to Aberdeen next Thursday for their League Cup quarter-final tie. They will want Swanson on board for that one.  He's been their star performer so far this season, scoring seven goals in 10 games to date, and setting up several more.

  5. O'Dea-Day for Dundee's Darrenpublished at 10:07 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

Dundee fans wondering what befell their captain Darren O'Dea during Saturday's game against Kilmarnock may learn more today.

The Republic of Ireland centre-back was forced off with a foot injury after 36 minutes of the 1-1 draw and left Dens Park on crutches.

O'Dea, 29, was sent for a scan on Monday and manager Paul Hartley will be hoping it is not bad news. He is already without one central defender, the suspended Kevin Gomis, for Sunday's Premiership clash with Aberdeen.

  6. Hibs take Welsh international on trialpublished at 09:53 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

Before we get too deep into Barcelona v Celtic chat (a little under 10 hours until kick-off), let's have a look at a few other stories doing the rounds this morning.

Hibernian, two points clear at the top of the Championship after winning their first five games, have taken former Welsh international full-back Neal Eardley on trial.

Manager Neil Lennon is seeking some cover and competition for captain and right-back David Gray, and Eardley, 27, is a free agent after being released by English Championship side Birmingham City at the end of his contract last season.

"We're having a look at him," Lennon said. "He's got vast experience and has overcome a couple of injuries. He may fit the bill as the player we are looking for."

  7. What's on the back pages?published at 09:33 British Summer Time 13 September 2016

Unsurprisingly, all the papers lead with Celtic's visit to the Nou Camp tonight.

The Scottish Daily Mail labels it the 'Ultimate Test', the Daily Record goes with Brendan Rodgers' line that 'We're Not Here As A Bunch Of Tourists' and the Scottish Sun calls the contest 'Beauty and the Best' - a reference to Rodgers' describing Barca's Luis Suarez as not only the "best striker in the world" but also "a beautiful man".   You can read more about all that in this piece by our own Tom English in Barcelona.

    Other headlines include:

    • Wounded Mark Warburton claiming Rangers have been unfairly hammered for their derby day thrashing at Celtic - and insisting he'll use the stinging criticism to fire his players for the rest of the campaign.
    • Brendan Rodgers admitting Celtic should be nowhere near the Champions League given the financial disparity between his club and their opponents but tipping his reborn players to make history in Barcelona.
    •  Ally McCoist telling Rangers fans to get real after insisting his old club were miles off Celtic.
    • Hibs boss Neil Lennon revealing he has taken former Welsh international Neal Eardley on trial.
