A home victory over Burton gave Leeds back-to-back wins and put them a point off the play-off places.

Leeds boss Garry Monk: "We weren't at our best today, but we have got three points, kept a clean sheet and have had a great week overall.

"Even though we didn't get the performance, the fans kept backing us and drove us on.

"We are fighting until the end in every game and I can see the group growing every week."

Bristol CIty remained in the play-off places despite conceding a late equaliser at Barnsley.

Robins boss Lee Johnson: "I'm disappointed that we're only coming away with a point in the end.It was probably a fair result.

"At 1-0 down and with them having a penalty kick, we would have taken a draw. However, at 2-1 up and with us having a throw-in, we didn't hold on to the ball and they've got the equaliser

"We go away with a point, still in the top six. We've got some tough games coming up but we remain positive."

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 29 October 2016

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

    Danny Batth is very lucky.

The Wolves captain, already on a yellow card, hacks down Sam Gallagher, but the referee keeps his cards in his pocket.

The resulting free-kick is whipped in but Carl Ikeme gathers at the second attempt.

And that's half-time. Blackburn lead through Gallagher's stunning volley, but Wolves could have easily been level.

Huddersfield suffered their heaviest defeat of the season at Fulham, and have won only one of their last four games.

Terriers boss David Wagner: "We totally lost control of the game. We were not ourselves all over the pitch.

"It hurts, we didn't expect it.

"Days like today shouldn't happen, but they can in football. We made so many mistakes, I don't know where to start."

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 38 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

That's a world-class save from Wolves stopper Carl Ikeme.

Ben Marshall jinks his way towards the edge of the box and bends a beautiful low strike towards goal.

Ikeme dives and tips it around the post at full stretch.

Moments later Marvin Emnes scuffs a shot and Ikeme gathers it easily. Wolves look shaky at the back whenever Blackburn go forward.

It just won't go in for the visitors.

The ball finds its way to Conor Coady on the edge of the area once again but his low shot is blocked and Blackburn clear.

There are a few glum faces among Wolves' strong travelling contingent.

Their side has shown plenty of intent, but can't find the back of the net. Just 16 league goals so far this season tells its own story.

Conor Coady blazes another shot over from 25 yards.

Plenty for 33-year-old interim boss Rob Edwards to think about.

  9. YELLOW CARD (Batth)published at 26 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

It's wave after wave of Wolves attacks.

Conor Coady bends a low 20-yard effort towards goal which takes a little deflection and Jason Steele saves with his legs.

Moments later, Wolves skipper Danny Batth goes into the referee's notebook for a foul on Sam Gallagher.

  10. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

Wolves are certainly on top now.

Big Iceland striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson heads the ball back towards Conor Coady but the young Merseysider skews his shot wildly over the bar.

Moments later Dave Edwards has another chance but his cheeky backheel rolls just wide.

Has the protest affected Blackburn's players?

  11. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

Jed Wallace lines up a free-kick from just outside the box, but the Wolves midfielder strikes it straight at Jason Steele.

The visitors have looked sharp since going behind, but as has often been the case this season, lacked any penetration.

Brighton thrashed Norwich 5-0 to keep the pressure on Championship leaders Newcastle.

Norwich manager Alex Neil: "We were the makers of our own downfall. It's the worst defeat I've had as a manager.

"All I can really do is apologise to the fans. We were well supported. It's not a nice position to be in today."

  13. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

Hundreds of Blackburn supporters begin to filter into the ground as part of their protest against the owners Venky's.

It suddenly becomes a bit of an ugly atmosphere as the fans already inside the ground boo those entering.

It's really noisy inside Ewood Park now, but not pleasant.

    GOAL (Gallagher)published at 13 mins

    Blackburn 1-0 Wolves

Oh my goodness, you will not see a sweeter volley than that from Blackburn striker Sam Gallagher.

The 21-year-old latches onto Ben Marshall's low cross and smashes the ball past a helpless Carl Ikeme from just inside the box.

It's an absolutely stunning strike and his sixth league goal of the season.

Huge numbers of Blackburn fans are waiting in the concourses ready to make an entrance on 18 minutes.

Meanwhile on the pitch, nothing much to report except Wolves striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson just failing to get his head on another whipped cross.

I said it would be cagey.

  16. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Blackburn 0-0 Wolves

Wolves' Portuguese winger Helder Costa is an absolute livewire.

He bursts down the right wing again but Charlie Mulgrew stops him in his tracks with a perfectly-timed sliding tackle.

He then whips a ball into the box which just evades the head of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.

It's such an eerie atmosphere at Ewood Park at the moment. Halloween has come early.

    Blackburn 0-0 Wolves

Helder Costa launches the first attack for Wolves as he pings a low cross into the box which is gathered comfortably by Jason Steele in the Blackburn goal.

I've got a feeling it's going to be a cagey start with both teams out of form and badly needing points.

Big, big game for both sides who need a victory.

Kick-off is a minute or so away.

While the future is uncertain at Wolves, Blackburn have got their own problems.

Their supporters are planning a protest at the club's Indian owners, Venky's, by staging a protest at today's game.

The plan...some will arrive 18 minutes into the match and then leave after 75 minutes. The timings are to do with the year 1875, when Rovers were formed.

It's never dull this football lark is it?!
