    The managerial merry-go-round has continued at a frantic pace in the Championship this season, with six bosses losing their jobs so far.

    Former Wolves boss Walter Zenga was one of those sacked on Tuesday after just 87 days in charge.

    So who's coming in at Molineux to replace the Italian? Well, ex-England manager Sam Allardyce, born just down the road in Dudley, is in the running according to the BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy.

    Nigel Pearson and Paul Lambert are also among the candidates. Watch this space - it could be a VERY interesting week coming up in the Black Country.

    Wolves caretaker manager Rob Edwards makes three changes from the 1-0 defeat by Leeds at Molineux last weekend.

    Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Conor Coady and Jed Wallace come into the side.

    After 17 minutes of added time, League Two leaders Plymouth have beaten Colchester 2-1.

    The delay was caused by referee Kevin Johnson having to be carried off on a stretcher.

    There were 28 goals in nine games in the Championship today.

    Brighton and Fulham hit five each, as the Seagulls beat Norwich and the Whites overpowered third-placed Huddersfield to record a first home win since 5 August.

    Newcastle remain three points clear after winning at Preston while Leeds moved up to within a point of the play-offs after beating Burton.

    Wigan move up to 22nd ahead of the evening kick-off after victory at Cardiff while Rotherham ended a run of seven consecutive defeats by getting a point at Ipswich.

    A late equaliser from David McGoldrick denied the Millers a first win since beating Brentford on 20 August.

    Leaders Scunthorpe were 4-0 up at half-time as they beat Swindon 4-1, meanwhile third placed Bolton, who were leading 3-0 at the break, beat Port Vale 3-1.

    James Hanson scored his second of the afternoon deep into injury time as third placed Bradford beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 while struggling Shrewsbury drew 1-1 at Southend in Paul Hurst's first game in charge.

    Carlisle's unbeaten start to the League Two season continues into November after they beat Crawley 3-1. They remain second.

    Bottom side Newport County claimed their first win since August, and only their second of the season, with a 3-1 victory at Accrington Stanley.

    Newcastle hold on for victory at Deepdale to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the Championship.

    The Lilywhites hit the woodwork through Marnick Vermijl nine minutes into added time as they searched for an equaliser.

    Football can be so, so cruel sometimes. Ipswich score an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time through David McGoldrick against Rotherham.

    It's also 2-2 at Oakwell, Adam Hamill levelling things for Barnsley against Bristol City.

    Leeds have made it 2-0 against Burton - Souleymane Doukara with the goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

    Late goals. Drama. It's the Championship.

    Brighton have a seventh win in nine games after outclassing promotion rivals Norwich at the Amex Stadium.

    The Seagulls move three points clear of third-placed Huddersfield.

    There was late drama though, as Stephen Warnock was forced to clear Joe Bennett's shot off the line just before the full-time whistle went.

    Walsall have levelled matters in their League One West Midlands derby with Coventry City with Erhun Oztumer making it 1-1. The top two, Scunthorpe and Bolton both still look like they will be claiming three points each this afternoon.

    League Two strugglers Newport are on course to claim only their second win of the season by beating Accrington Stanley but Janoi Donacien has reduced the deficit to make the score 2-1.

    Wycombe's Matt Bloomfield has scored the first brace of his career to make it 2-2 at Doncaster.

    Tammy Abraham had gone four games without a goal, but he's back with a bang this afternoon.

    The 19-year-old has just put Bristol City in front at Oakwell.

    However, 10 of Barnsley's 25 Championship goals this season have come in the final quarter of an hour.

    That is a league-high alongside Nottingham Forest.

    Can the Tykes find another late goal?

    Just up the road in Leeds, Chris Wood has scored from the penalty spot to put the hosts ahead against Burton.

    Glenn Murray puts the icing on the cake for the Seagulls.

    The on-loan striker pounces on a mix-up between Norwich keeper Michael McGovern and defender Ryan Bennett to complete his hat-trick.

    That's Murray's ninth of the season - all of which have come at the Amex Stadium.

    It's turning into a great day for Chris Hughton's side.

    Billy Sharp has put Sheffield United back in front against managerless MK Dons.

    In League Two, Barnet have pulled a goal back against Hartlepool, who lead 2-1 but are now down to 10 men after Liam Donnelly was sent off after conceding a penalty.
