The key man. Have you got him in your fantasy team?

Romelu Lukaku's been involved in each of Everton's last six away league goals - with five goals and one assist.

  3. CHANCE!published at 20 mins

    Watford 0-1 Everton

Stefano Okaka just can't get the ball out of his feet enough to wind up the shot.

Lovely inter-play with Troy Deeney to set up the space on the edge of the box.

It's a tame effort in the end and is easily gathered, but they've had some chances Watford. There are goals out there.

It's a brilliant little ball into the box from Barry, it really caught the defence and goalkeeper out as Gomes didn't know whether to come for it.

That's Lukaku's first shot on target and he scores.

  5. goal

Gareth Barry with the lob over the top and Watford are undone.

Heurelho Gomes can't come for it, Miguel Britos cannot get back, and Romelu Lukaku just slips in a little low finish. Andrea Pirlo-esque pass from Barry.

The game's first goal, with the first shot on target.

It's going to be so important for Watford today that Amrabat and Capoue really put pressure on the Everton defence. Amrabat has shown he has skill and pace.

  8. CLOSE!published at 13 mins

    Watford 0-0 Everton

    Much better from the Hornets.

Etienne Capoue slips in a cut-back to the Everton box that has Troy Deeney licking his lips as he gears up to slide in and turn home, but Ramiro Funes Mori comes steaming in to clear.

    Oh deary me

    Come on now. Please.

Etienne Capoue's attempt on goal is a terrible, swirly oaf of a balloon shot that sails into oblivion.

  10. CLOSE!published at 9 mins

    Watford 0-0 Everton

There's no way Heurelho Gomes meant that.

Everton's corner is played short, Gerard Deulofeu sneaks closer to goal and delivers a fizzing cross to the near post. Gomes, for some reason, chooses to bounce it away off his wrists - why not catch it?

Luckily for him and Watford the ball flies off towards safety. Could easily have been knocked in the net.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 7 mins

Oof. Nasty that. Adlene Guedioura goes into the book for a poor challenge on Idrissa Gueye. Studs searching blindly for the ball.

First tackle, first foul, first yellow.

  12. 'Everton style not suiting Lukaku'published at 12:36 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Watford 0-0 Everton

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough and Fulham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 live

Everton have changed their style of play recently and it doesn't suit Romelu Lukaku.

You look at Belgium where everything goes through Hazard and Lukaku's playing off the midfield player, off the shoulder of people. He's not someone who likes to go 50-50 with a high ball up front to him.

    Watford 0-0 Everton

Skills from Etienne Capoue. A drag-back, a feigned flicked pass into Jose Holebas on the inside track...

But the Watford full-back knocks in a terrible cross. Shame - Watford had managed to create a few spaces after Seamus Coleman was robbed.

  14. 'Bigger job'published at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Watford 0-0 Everton

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Football Focus

It's beginning too look like a far bigger job for Ronald Koeman than he believed at the start of the season at Everton.

  15. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Watford 0-0 Everton

Gerard Deulofeu's in the Everton line-up for the injured Yannick Bolasie today. There's been times when I've seen him breeze past pretty much anyone on the park.

He's in the mood for an early dart down the right flank but is matched by the brawny Etienne Capoue.

  17. 'Everton musn't rely on Lukaku'published at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2016

    Watford v Everton (12:30 GMT)

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

It doesn’t help that they started so well and they have lost a bit of confidence. They have played OK in games and then lost late on. Especially at home, we know how demanding the Evertonians are.

But who else scores apart from Lukaku? Other than Mirallas? Who is chipping in? You can’t rely on one player.
