Players you met as a baby

Not sure which one of these I like the most. Modest mum of Theo is definitely in with a shout.

There are more on the MOTD Facebook page., external

Jonathan Jones: My dad and I once tried to sneak a peek at the pitch in Goodison before a game and from no where we heard a voice shouting at us asking what we were doing. Turned out to be Brian Labone, and he actually took us on the pitch and got a photo with me and my dad. Such a genuinely nice guy!

Sharon Campbell: Sat in work with my Saints diary. In comes a woman and says "my son plays for Saints' little ones. I know I'm his mum, but I think he's going to be rather good," said mum of Theo Walcott!

Jason Stagg: Not as a baby or toddler, but when I was 10/11, I played goalkeeper for my primary school team against Joe Hart's primary school team. We beat them 3-1.

No matter what happens, I will always be able to say I played in the same position against a future England keeper and Premier League winner...and beat him.

In the Star, Pep Guardiola defends Sergio Aguero over that challenge on David Luiz last weekend. A four-match ban means he can really tuck into the mince pies.

The foul was horrible, but Aguero's not a dirty player - that's the thrust of Pep's argument.

Premier League club AFC Bournemouth have confirmed they intend to build a new stadium in a new location.

The club's current home at the 11,450-capacity Vitality Stadium is leased from property company Structadene.

Chief executive Neill Blake said the club would "not be held to ransom" over a price to purchase the ground or "develop a ground they do not own".

Bournemouth, in their second top-flight season, hope to have a new ground built in time for the 2020-21 season.

    Lawro v Robbie

Pop megastar, former Take That singer and probably the last man alive who can still shift some CDs through the tills this Christmas, it's none other than Mr Robbie Williams taking on Lawro with his predictions this week.

And Robbie seems to know his stuff. His entries are a lot more filled out than usual.

Robbie Williams marking Maradona. Don't ask

For example: "Everton are quite a blunt instrument at the moment. A lot is expected of Koeman, but not much is happening apart from mid-table obscurity."

And: "Alan Pardew has been given another week to rescue his Palace future and I am sure he has got a sweat on. That being said, the Palace players will have more belief now in the system, the manager and themselves and I think they will have too much for Hull."

    The man knows his onions.
