    Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham

Hugo Lloris is of course in goal for Spurs today, David de Gea in nets for Manchester United. You knew that.

Spurs win a corner as they look for a leveller, but Marcos Rojo does well to beat Victor Wanyama to the punch. In fact he had an armful of the Kenyan's shirt.

When Manchester United get those players banked up it is going to be tough to break down, so it has to be slick and incisive from Spurs.

The gloves were off for both these sides before the game, and with Anthony Joshua fighting last night I think both he and Wladimir Klitschko are in the ground today.

He may not strike you as the most festive of men but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 34 goals in his last 34 league appearances in the month of December. He had one shot saved earlier on but has been quiet of late.

    Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is unsurprisingly the first Armenian to score in the Premier League, making it 96 different nationalities on the scoresheet.

Er, England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Burkino Faso, Republic of Ireland, Togo, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Brazil...

Chances at either end at OT too. First Zlatan Ibrahimovic brings down a cross at the far post before testing Hugo Lloris with a low shot, and then David de Gea is all arms to push away a rasper from Son Heung-min.

    Spurs well in the game.

Jason Moore: This @HenrikhMkh, external fella might just make it in football. Another cracking finish. Very quickly becoming a huge fan

Jay: If anyone knows how to throw away a 1 goal lead, it's United. The question is - can Tottenham claw back?

Seth Gogo Egoeh: I hope Mourinho has taught this United team how to hold onto a lead! Because another draw will be very devastating for morale

Better from Southampton as Dusan Tadic curls over a cross from the left and James Ward-Prowse heads over.

And then a great chance at the other end! Viktor Fischer goes past Fraser Forster but his shot is blocked on the line and then Cristhian Stuani's follow-up is also blocked! Valiant defending from the Saints.

    Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham

A win today would put Manchester United three points behind Tottenham in the table.

Spurs looked to have comfortably played their way out from the back, but it came to Harry Kane and he played a loose ball.

The through ball was brilliant, the timing of the run, and Manchester United's man on form has thumped the ball into the top of the net.

That is typical of a Jose Mourinho side at their best, punish a team when they give the ball away in the wrong place.

That goal has rocked Spurs, and so has that tackle. Antonio Valencia flies into Danny Rose and gets a booking for his troubles.

    Henrikh Mkhitaryan (29 mins)

Emphatic! That's the word to describe that finish from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, his first in the Premier League. Harry Kane is the guilty man, giving the ball away in the centre circle to Ander Herrera, who releases the Armenian with a lovely through ball. He has lots to do, but after mulling over a square pass to Zlatan Ibrahimovic he instead gets his head over the ball and thunders a shot past Hugo Lloris and into the roof of the net.

I did the Middlesbrough - Hull game the other night and it wasn't the best, this has not been great so far either. Functional performance from the visitors to date.

Michael Carrick shoots from 30 yards, it flies over via the shins of Victor Wanyama. Harry Kane easily clears the corner.

    Man Utd 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham are seeing loads of the ball, just not in the right places.

They've made 107 passes compared to Man United's 72 - but United look much more dangerous, with five shots to Spurs' two.

Craig Andrew Smith: Spurs are so underrated by pundits for this years title. They are solid in all areas and have by far the best defence.

Michael Devlin: Man Utd is a patchwork quilt. Tottenham is a team.

Michael Reid: No @ManUtd, external fan can say @paulpogba, external is overrated. If you watch him every game, you can easily see his class!

United free Anthony Martial into space with a ball over the top but the forward lacks the conviction to cut inside from the left and checks back into traffic. He's scored just four goals so far this season.

  17. 'One mistake, one goal'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom manager Tony Pulis: "I was happy all the way through the game. They play a different system to most teams and we’d worked on a structure to beat them.

"We played well – the disappointing thing is that we’ve players who are better on the ball than they showed today. We were careless in possession.

"If you want to play the way you want to play, you have to get that pass off and control possession and cause them some problems. We did that a few times but not enough.

"They are a very hard working group of players – I’m very disappointed for them. Out supporters will go home today very disappointed but having watched a very honest, hard working team that very nearly pulled it off."

That certainly lifted the home faithful. A lovely move and I think you would say with the couple of attacking moments Manchester United have had they are the slightly more threatening of the sides so far.

That's a lovely piece of play, Michael Carrick dinks the ball over the top, Ander Herrera lays it back on the volley and Henrikh Mkhitaryan rifles a left-footed shot from 20 yards which is on target until it thumps into a Spurs defender. United threaten from the corner too but again there's a white shirt there to clear.

  20. 'I changed the cards'published at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte on BT Sport: "It's important when you face this type of team, it's very difficult to break down. Today it was difficult to find space and there were a lot of players behind the ball. I am pleased for the character and passion of my players.

"Diego Costa has fantastic commitment and work rate during the game with and without the ball. He was good to score the goal. He is playing fantastic football and it's important because he is working a lot for the team.

"I tried to change the cards, and to find a different solution. West Bromwich prepared well with great organisation. It was important to change the game and Cesc Fabregas is a good player when he came on, and I like him a lot."
