    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom keeper Ben Foster on BT Soprt: "We're disappointed to lose the game but we did well and limited them to a few chances. And at the other end of the pitch we had a few where we could have scored. The goal we conceded was disappointing.

"It was a brilliant finish from Diego Costa. We dealt with him well apart from that.

"There's a great solidity in our team. We haven't changed our team for four or five games. Whoever is in knows their job. We might not have the individuals but we work well as a team."

Spurs are at a big moment in their history, a fork in the road. Do you want to chase titles? You need to pay your players. Kane, Alderweireld, Alli - they would be getting £100k a week plus anywhere else. It's time to loosen the belts. They have to stop selling as well.

When Dele Alli, Kyle Walker or Danny Rose are on international duty and look around the dressing room and realise they are on half the wages of team-mates it will unsettle them. It's human nature. It might sound alien to the public to say 'I'm only on £50k a week' but within that profession it's all relative.

Virgil van Dijk is on his way, it's as simple as that. He is the best defender in the Premier League and whether he goes to Manchester United or not, he will leave Southampton.

Bryan Fish: If we're going continental, I'm pretty sure Cantona won the French title b4 joining Leeds so won 3 in a row

Ding, ding, ding. I think we'll struggle to beat this. Eric Cantona a league champion with three different teams in three successive years, and four consecutive titles in total - with Marseille in 1991, Leeds United in 1992 and Manchester United in 1993 and '94.

  13. 'Spurs are the best team in the league'published at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

Man Utd v Tottenham (14:15 GMT)

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is playing the old Jedi mind games all the way up until kick-off.

He tells Sky Sports that Tottenham are "the best team in the Premier League".

"They're the most complete team. The best defence but lots of quality in attacking areas."

  14. 'Diego made the goal'published at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas: "It was a good and maybe fortunate pass but it was all about Diego for the goal, he made the pass special. He fought for the ball. We had to push them but I think the game is asking for a change for something and I glad for that.

Diego Costa added: "I am in great form, but not the best. The best way to attack is to defend well, They had a few chances in the beginning, but we are well organised and strong."

I think when you have that whole blend in your squad you know you are onto something special, and that is all down to Antonio Conte.

Costa is the type of player defenders and midfielders hate playing against, you never know where he is in terms of when you have the ball.

You can talk about scoring goals, but that is what you expect from centre forwards. It's towards the end of the game when he is closing down and then the next minute running at players - he brought this place to life today.

That was tough for Chelsea, they worked their socks off for that result. At times throughout the game the fans were getting frustrated, but Conte kept his cool, adapted and made changes at the right time.

Tony Pulis will be delighted with his players' performance as a whole. Collectively they played well. It was just that mistake that cost them.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has explained his decision to drop Eric Dier to the bench on Sky Sports. Toby Alderweireld's return sees the England international miss out.
