Jack Blackburn: I know Jose's blamed bad luck. But he can only blame himself for not picking Mkhitaryan. Worrying to see him leave the field.

Cameron: Man Utd killing a really great game. Boring boring boring!

Peters Oladipupo: Dele Alli has been very average today. Definitely overrated

Southampton spring Shane Long in behind, is this two? No! Great tackle from Antonio Barragan,

    Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham

That is a poor challenge, as Dele Alli clatters into Michael Carrick in midfield. Referee Robert Madley takes no further action...

Four minutes of normal time left.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was fouled by Danny Rose but it looked a fairly innocuous challenge. It could be his left ankle?

He is replaced by Eric Bailly.

Dave W: If United fans want to boo someone for giving away a penalty, Smalling would be a much more deserving target than Fellaini

Harrison Short: I feel sorry for Fellaini. You know you've hit rock bottom when the fans are booing you just for warming up.

Braide Sepribo: I think spurs should just relax, Jose is about to give them a point!!!

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is down receiving treatment and it does not look good. In fact he has been strapped on to a stretcher and carried off.

As we approach the final furlong of this game, is it going to be a mistake? A moment of quality? A bit of brilliance?

With Hull and Burnley to come for Spurs, if they can just get a goal then a point would be a fantastic result.

Jay Rodriguez must think he's won the game with a towering header from a superb James Ward-Prowse corner but Adam Clayton is perfectly placed on the line to head it away!

Tom McQuillin: All the people concerned of a Spurs equaliser seem to have forgotten that we are incapable of scoring unless we have a penalty

Chris Dow: how long do we have to watch Dele Alli to realize he's overrated?

Richard: Those "fans" that are booing Fellaini can get out of Old Trafford, right now. That's disgraceful.

Marouane Fellaini is warming up, is that a few boos from the Stretford End? Henrikh Mkhitaryan then wins a corner.

Fatigue is definitely setting in and I am surprised only Marcus Rashford has come on. To kill the game by possession, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, Daley Blind perhaps might be considered for Manchester United.

Andy: With two of our worst signings for years starting, Ayew and Nordtveit, any doubts about us getting a hiding are dispelled

Josh Hammond: United need to kill this off. There's going to be a late spurs equaliser if they dont get a second goal soon!

Nikhil: For all the money spent, #Mufc, external counter attacking is too slow, maybe the home side is playing for a 1-1 draw

Marcus Rashford comes out to the left for Manchester United then for the closing stages. Still the men in white who are seeing more of the play, they've had 63% possession since half time.

    Wayne Rooney is warming up.

There are 20 minutes left at Old Trafford and Spurs look the most likely to score the game's second goal. Jose Mourinho does indeed bring on Marcus Rashford for Anthony Martial.
