    Southampton v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

Despite Premier League finishes of sixth and seventh since Mauricio Pochettino left St Mary's, some Saints fans are still bitter about the Argentine's exit.

Home supporters wore orange in support of then-boss Ronald Koeman when Pochettino returned last year. But the Spurs manager is not bitter.

"I feel the love from the people but it’s normal for some of the fans to hate me. That doesn’t change my respect for Southampton, the club and the people," he says.

"For different situations, we had to split our ways but always my feelings and my memories will be good."

Ahead of Poch's return to St Mary's tonight we are asking which ex-players or managers you have actually given a good reception to. And why?

Paul in Hoddesdon: Tommy Huddlestone, Michael Dawson, Ryan Mason & Jake Livermore all got their own song sung at White Heart Lane when we faced Hull a couple of weeks back. You're Spurs and you know you are!

Paul in Southampton: Rickie Lambert always gets a great reception when he's back at St Mary's. Club Legend got us promotion. Saints fans always sing "He wants to come home and Rickie loves it".

Jon Moore: Peter Crouch gets a good reception at Anfield... He's big he's red his feet stick out the bed etc.

Looks f-f-f-reeeezing at St Mary's. If I could use an icicle emoji here I would. You can see Harry Kane's warm breath in the cold Southampton air as he limbers up. All to the backdrop of some 'popular' music. Probably by someone 'ft. Calvin Harris'.

  7. We need to fight for top four - Pochpublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2016

    Southampton v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino: "After 10 days working for the game we decided to pick Moussa Sissoko to add a player who is fast, and gives power to the team. He has been working very well and for that I'm happy.

"Toby Alderweireld was close to playing but he got a virus in the last two days - he was sick - so he could not be recalled.

"It is very important to get the three points but we are playing a team who is playing very well. It is tough to get points from St Mary's. We need to be fighting for the top four."

    Southampton v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

Southampton manager Claude Puel, whose team have lost just once in their past six Premier League games: "It will be interesting. I think we have good spontaneity - it is important players can take confidence. It is important my players think they can score every time.

On Spurs and their keeper Hugo Lloris, who he managed at Lyon: "They have a strong keeper in Hugo who I know very well and I'm happy to see him again. But in front of our fans it is important to put our game plan in place. We have qualities. It is important to be clinical."

Midfielders Oriol Romeu, James Ward-Prowse and Steven Davis return as does skipper Jose Fonte, who was on the bench for the previous match amid doubts over his future.

Harrison Reed, Maya Yoshida, Jordie Clasie and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg make way.

Booing your former player, no matter what the circumstances, seems to have become almost traditional as Boxing Day games and mouth-burning chicken balti pies in English football.

Spurs' former Saints midfielder Victor Wanyama is the latest who is likely to get the bird tonight, along with his boss Mauricio Pochettino of course.

So, as spitting out vitriol appears to be the norm, we want to know which players/managers you have actually given a good reception to. And why?

Hello! Nope, we're not talking about Mauricio Pochettino's love life. We're talking about his return to Southampton - the club who thought they had a blossoming relationship with the Argentine. Until it was cut short when an attractive rival fluttered their eye lashes at him, offering more money and swankier gifts.

So Pochettino moved out of the marital home on the south coast to shack up with his new beau in north London.

Now he's back. It's not the first time, but it is still guaranteed to be awkward...

Bumping into your ex can be a difficult experience. Palms sweating, brow furrowed, heart pumping. You know you're going to cross paths.

What if he is looking better since you left? What if she has got a new squeeze on her arm? And what if all your former mutual friends hate you and give you the cold shoulder?

We've all had this feeling of panic. Even Premier League football managers...
