  1. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

There was the chance for Wigan to wrap this up.

Yanic Wildschut nicks the ball off Jon Stankovic near halfway and races towards the Huddersfield goal before teeing up Michael Jacobs.

The former Wolves man should really hit the target but can only scoop his effort high, wide and handsome. A wasted opportunity.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

It's Wigan's turn to make a change as the scorer of their first goal, Reece Burke, is replaced by centre-half Dan Burn.

It looks like the Latics will defend deep and rely ever more on their pace on the break.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 70 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield defender Tommy Smith grabs a handful of David Perkins' shirt as Wigan look to break and earns his fifth booking of the season.

He will miss the Terriers' next game at Blackburn.

  4. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 68 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield want another penalty as Stephen Warnock twice has a nibble at Elias Kachunga inside the box.

In fact, the first coming together is more than a 'nibble' as Warnock appears to shove the striker over. Again referee Tony Harrington is unmoved, much to the dismay of the Terriers fans behind the goal.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 66 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield boss David Wagner looks to his bench and makes his last change, throwing on Danish midfielder Philip Billing in place of Jonathan Hogg.

  6. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Wigan's second goal hasn't stemmed Huddersfield's tempo as they again set up camp in the visitors' half.

Rajiv van La Parra tries his luck with a cross-shot that is hit with plenty of venom but which is just too high for two onrushing Terriers attackers.

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 62 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

That's got to be a penalty hasn't it?!

Nahki Wells bursts into the Wigan box and goes down after appearing to have his ankles clipped by Luke Garbutt.

Huddersfield want a spot-kick but referee Tony Harrington says no. That could be controversial, although replays suggest the man in black may not have had a clear view.

  8. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Yanic Wildschut is almost at it again as Huddersfield get caught short once more.

This time the powers down the left and dinks the ball goalwards, but with no support the Terriers can this time clear their lines.

  9. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Former Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon on BBC 5 live sports extra and BBC Radio Leeds:

"The defence have let the team down again. All that fantastic forward play is a waste of time if you can’t defend."

  10. goal

GOAL Yanic Wildschutpublished at 60 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Unbelieveably Wigan are back in front despite all Huddersfield's pressure - and the home side have only themselves to blame.

The Terriers commit too many men forward, Max Power dinks a pass over the top and Yanic Wildschut runs unchallenged from inside his own half to round Danny Ward and tap in.

Think Fernando Torres for Chelsea at the Nou Camp and you've got it.

  11. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield have had almost 70% of possession in the first 10 minutes of the second period and they're playing at quite a tempo.

Can they keep it up, or will Wigan hold on and come back into the game later on?

  12. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield's tails are really up now as Aaron Mooy tries his luck from range after more good work by Nahki Wells.

The on-loan Manchester City midfielder's effort swerves all over the place but Jussi Jaaskelainen gets behind it and palms it down before gathering at the second attempt.

The momentum in this game is currently all one way.

  13. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wigan Athletic

Former Huddersfield goalkeeper Matt Glennon on BBC 5 live sports extra and BBC Radio Leeds:

"Now Huddersfield have got the breakthrough, Wigan can’t sit back and this is an opportunity to go on and win this game. Aaron Mooy’s midfielder has not gone with him and he gets his goal."

  14. YELLOW CARD Max Powerpublished at 52 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wigan Athletic

That goal seems to have rattled Wigan as Max Power needlessly clatters into Chris Lowe near halfway and earns a booking for his troubles.

  15. goal

GOAL Aaron Mooypublished at 50 mins

    Huddersfield Town 1-1 Wigan Athletic

Huddersfield have a reward for their fast start to the second period.

Nahki Wells drives into the box and pulls the ball back across the face of goal to the back post where Aaron Mooy is on hand to tap in.

    We're all level.

  16. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Huddersfield Town 0-1 Wigan Athletic

The Huddersfield fans certainly can't be accused of not getting behind their side this evening. The drums are going and they're making an absolute din.

Their side has started the second half on the front foot too, as Nahki Wells flicks a header from Chris Lowe's cross straight at Jussi Jaaskelainen.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

In case you missed it earlier this evening, there's been another managerial casualty in the Championship, with Rotherham United boss Kenny Jackett resigning after only 39 days in charge at the New York Stadium.

The 54-year-old drew one and lost four of his five games in charge, with a club statement saying that "Kenny's resignation came as a shock to the club and is disappointing".

It was quite a weekend in the EFL, which started on Friday night with Henri Lansbury's hat-trick inspiring Nottingham Forest to a stunning 5-2 win at Barnsley.

And it continued on Saturday with Blackburn Rovers bringing Newcastle's nine-game winning run to a shuddering halt by winning at St James' Park, while Peter Odemwingie not only had an early bath but also took to Twitter to apologise for being sent off while Rotherham's game against Leeds was still going on.
