Leeds started the game slow and were second best. Once they came through that period I liked the way they controlled the game and moved forward in the second half.

He (Garry Monk) made two or three changes to the team but it didn't disrupt the way they were playing. Had they gone 2-0 up Villa would have ended up with nothing.

Leeds are a giant of a club in this league and are moving in the right direction.

    Rotherham 1-2 Burton

The Millers threw everything at the visitors in the closing stages - even keeper Lewis Price came up for a last-gasp corner - but it wasn't enough to break Burton's resistance.

Nigel Clough's side have their first away win of the season, while Rotherham are now in big, big trouble at the bottom.

    Rotherham 1-2 Burton

We have entered five minutes of stoppage time here.

The Millers are asking questions of the visitors, but they're being answered with relative ease.

This match has turned increasingly scrappy and desperate, which is certainly suiting Burton.

The whistle goes and it will be one point each for Villa and Leeds after a frantic final 10 minutes.

Villa break quickly but Kalvin Phillips makes a vital touch to stop their attack on the edge of the area.

Is that the last key act?

  11. CLOSE!published at 90+2 mins

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leeds

Pinball in the Villa area! Pontus Jansson is there again for Leeds but Villa have bodies back to get two crucial blocks in.

    Four minutes have been added.

Then Jonathan Kodjia shoots wide after a swift Villa counter. This is end-to-end stuff!

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 90 mins

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leeds

Rudy Gestede and Jonathan Kodjia combine brilliantly for Villa but Robert Green comes out to save superbly with his chest from Kodjia. Top goalkeeping!

Down the other end, Leeds win a late corner...

  13. 'Good work from the officials'published at 89 mins

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leeds

    Andy Townsend

Rudy Gestede was always getting there and Liam Cooper offers his arm up to do. It was a silly thing to do as there was no pace on the ball. Gestede had to work hard to get it on target/

It was good work from the officials in the end as the assistant referee had the confidence to keep waving his flag and ensure the penalty was given.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 88 mins

    Aston Villa 1-1 Leeds

What a chance! Straight down the other end, Hadi Sacko almost wins it for Leeds, but he clips the bar from inside the area!

He'd skipped past his man and was one-on-one.

It looks like Villa's Jordan Amavi got back to get a crucial foot in and deflect that onto the bar.

    Rotherham 1-2 Burton

The Brewers are on the back foot, as you'd expect, but I wouldn't say they're hanging on.

Having said that, Rotherham have their best opportunity of the half as on-loan Chelsea forward Izzy Brown smashes an effort just wide from inside the area.

Seven minutes plus stoppage time stand in the way of a massive Burton triumph.

  19. SUBSTITUTION (Leeds)published at 83 mins

    Aston Villa 0-1 Leeds

The visitors, who are edging closer and closer to a huge win, replace Liam Bridcutt with Ronaldo Vieira.

That's their final sub of the game - Stuart Dallas was also replaced by Pablo Hernandez shortly before the hour mark.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Leeds

One player who has been quietly impressive for Leeds tonight is Kalvin Phillips.

He's read the game well, making little interceptions here and there in the middle of the park, getting stuck in and keeping possession ticking over.
