    Manchester City 0-0 Monaco

Picture perfect number 10 play from Bernardo Silva, who rolls away from one man, nutmegs Yaya Toure and then slides a great pass down the side of John Stones to find Radamel Falcao bursting into the area. Falcao drags back inside a defender but can't force a shot away.

At the other end Sergio Aguero takes the ball away from the advancing keeper Danijel Subasic but his cross into the middle is headed clear. So open!

Monaco not holding back here - really going for it and Manchester City also willing to trade early blows. It has been a lively start.

Manchester City keeper Willy Caballero is fulfilling manager Pep Guardiola's wishes by passing out from the back but Monaco are on to this one and are putting him under heavy pressure.

End to end stuff, neither side particularly interested in defending it seems. David Silva and Raheem Sterling exchange passes to dance into the penalty area but the flag is correctly raised. A breathless opening 13 minutes.

    Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Atletico Madrid

Chance for Atletico to take the lead! First Antoine Griezmann has an effort saved and then, when Filipe Luis drills in a dangerous cross, Leverkusen defender Wendell slams the ball against his own crossbar!

    Very, very lucky.

Our first glimpse of 'the new Henry' Kylian Mbappe, and the resemblance is clearly there. His running style is very similar to the young Thierry, long strides and quick feet as he glides down the left wing, looking to get onto his right foot and curl it into the far corner. He's well shut down in the end and it's scrambled clear. City had left two on two at the back there.

Niall: City are still years behind other teams in terms of European competition. Weak squad, with no fight.

Howepundit: Looking forward to seeing this Mbappe dude Arsene was kinda keen on in the summer?

Bryden: Always intrigued about who actually supports Monaco and where the support is drawn from

    Manchester City 0-0 Monaco

A lovely ball from John Stones up to Sergio Aguero starts a flowing move, David Silva sends in Leroy Sane on the left but he blazes over when unsure whether to cross or shoot.

Sane then flicks it over the head of Kamil Glik, who is booked and will miss the second leg. Soft.

    Manchester City 0-0 Monaco

Monaco work the ball neatly down their right-hand side and then inside to Thomas Lemar, who hits an early shot, no backlift, but it's always wide of the target. Very open and engaging start to the game.

Slow start in Germany, with the hosts seeing most of the ball. Winger Karim Bellarabi looks the dangerman in the early stages.

Raheem Sterling calls Danijel Subasic into action after a great ball through from Kevin de Bruyne but the flag was already up.

We've seen enough in the first three minutes to suggest that both sides could indeed score tonight.

All four matches in the Championship have got under way and all eyes will be on the key play-off battle between Huddersfield and Reading at the John Smith's Stadium tonight.

However, it's a crucial evening for Wigan too as a victory over Ian Holloway's QPR could take them out of the relegation zone.

In League One, another four games have kicked off and there could be movement in the play-off spots as Southend and Millwall are both in action.

Bottom-of-the-League Two table Newport are under way at Rodney Parade and are in desperate need of three points. Colchester have also kicked off against Wycombe Wanderers.

Yaya Toure in a deep midfield role has got a very busy evening ahead . Will City miss Fernandinho's legs in there more than they will enjoy them at left-back?Monaco win an early corner.

Arsenal's 2-0 win over Sutton means they'll face Lincoln in the FA Cup quarter-finals, but it's a less-glamorous affair for the non-league side tonight.

The Imps travel to North Ferriby United, and could move six points clear at the top of the National League with a win.

Speaking of FA Cup heroics, Millwall will hope to carry on where they left off in their FA Cup win over Leicester at the weekend.

The Lions host League One strugglers Chesterfield at the Den, knowing that a win will move them into the playoffs if Southend fail to beat Peterborough.

Jose Mourinho has been talking to the media in the build-up to his team's Europa League tie against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday, and he was pressed on Wayne Rooney's future.

His comments, when asked if the England captain will be at the club at the end of the season, make for interesting reading.

"You'll have to ask him," the United boss said. "Of course I can't guarantee [he will be here]. I can't guarantee that I'm here next week, how can I guarantee that a player is here next season?

"What I can guarantee is that if Wayne one day leaves the club it is not because I want him to leave the club. That's the only thing I can guarantee.

"I would never push - or try to push - a legend of this club to another destiny.

"So you have to ask him if he sees himself staying in the club for the rest of his career or if he sees himself moving.

"It is not a question for me because I am happy to have him."
