Freddie Caine: Citys "but, but we're new to the Champions League" doesn't wash tonight, £bn squad, world's best manager vs a team of (extremely talented) kids.
Peter: That's City's strongest lineup. Need to get a 2 goal lead tonight.

Manchester City Pep Guardiola is considered by many to be the best coach in the world, but how good is his opposite number tonight, Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim, who has taken his team to the top of Ligue 1?
Monaco fan Mickael (l): "He has a very good reputation for what he has done at Monaco already, and it is growing.
"He has built a great team. We are not about individuals - we are a very good collective when we are playing games - that is our big strength.
“That is why we can be confident. Now, it is like we are mechanical in games - the players know exactly how to play together, and find each other on the pitch."

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao is back on familiar territory as he returns to Manchester with Monaco.
Falcao had a season of struggle at Manchester United on loan from Monaco after recovering from a serious knee injury - following that up with another poor campaign on loan at Chelsea.
He has, however, been rejuvenated at Monaco this season and will present a real danger to Pep Guardiola's side tonight. He is a striker who possessed genuine world class at his peak.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "We were in a good moment in terms of injuries but this week we lost Jesus, Kompany, Gael and Kolarov so we have 16 players and we use these 11. Fernandinho can play there [in defence] - but we have no other options.
"Monaco attack with a lot of people, the wingers come inside and the full-backs ear so strong. They are so quick. It is a strong team."

Radamel Falcao did not see the net bulge too often in these parts during his season in Manchester with United in 2014-15 - he scored only once at Old Trafford, and only four times in total that campaign.
Will tonight be different for the resurgent Colombian? Monaco fans Jean and Elodie have watched their side hit 76 goals in 26 Ligue 1 games this season - the highest total in any European league - and both think he and his high-scoring team-mates can get at Manchester City’s less than water-tight back-line.
Jean: “City are a great team but we can hurt their defence. John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi do not convince me. I don’t think they will keep us out."
Elodie: “One goal will be enough but, yes, I think we will score - and Monaco will win!"

Sergio Agüero has scored in only one of his last six Champions League games at the Etihad (hat-trick v Borussia Mönchengladbach). He’s also failed to find the net in his last 522 minutes of Champions League knockout action.
Aguero is six games without a goal in all competitions, and has only scored twice in 2017.
A mini crisis?
Manchester City v Monaco (19:45 GMT)
With the strengths Monaco have going forwards the midfield picked by Pep Guardiola seems very, very attacking. Maverick!
Yaya Toure, not as mobile as he was, is the only real central midfielder in the team, if we think Fernandinho will play at the back.
I've given up second guessing Pep's teams though.
Fancy a bit of extra pre-match chat from the 5 live team? They've been discussing the game on Facebook Live.
Manchester City v Monaco (19:45 GMT)
Can Monaco do to Manchester City what they did to Arsenal in 2015, and knock out an English team in the last 16?
Their travelling fans outside the Etihad Stadium certainly seem confident that Leonardo Jardim’s side can continue their progress in the Champions League - even if they don’t believe they can win it.
Sebastian (l): “We like playing English teams and we are having a good season - we score a lot of goals and I think a good result could be possible here because Manchester City are still adapting to playing under Pep Guardiola. If we score first, I think it will be very difficult for City."
Christophe (r): “We are not frightened of playing English teams. It is exciting to play them, yes, but we are not scared."
Sebastian: “We can beat City, but we will not win the Champions League this year. That is not possible because we do not have enough good players but the semi-finals are possible - I hope so anyway."

Manchester City v Monaco (19:45 GMT)
Monaco may not have been the biggest name that Manchester City could have pulled out of the hat - but they should pose a real threat over the two legs.
They beat Tottenham home and away in the group stage and have won all three knockout ties against Premier League sides.
In 1998 David Trezeguet's thunderous finish gave them a win at Old Trafford, in 2004 they beat Chelsea in the semi-finals, with Fernando Morientes starring, and they then beat Arsenal in 2015 with Dimitar Berbatov on the scoresheet.
Is tonight Radamel Falcao's time to shine?
