Southampton are causing all sorts of problems.

How unlucky it was to hit the post!

Oriol Romeu rises to the corner kick, but his floating header comes off the post.

  5. CLOSE!published at 62 mins

Superb football from Southampton, knocking it around with confidence.

It eventually gets to skipper Steven Davis on the right, but his pull back is cleared by Antonio Valencia for a corner.

Southampton manager Claude Puel is calm in his techical area - but the odd burst of body language tells you he wants his team to keep this high tempo going. At this stage they are just too fast and energetic for Manchester United,

Is this stage set for Wayne Rooney?

I have just had a look at Fraser Forster and he looks like he has a hamstring problem and that's why he didn't want to clear that ball long. He is just stretching it out but there might be a change of keeper here.

Fraser Forster, never confident with the ball at his feet, gives the ball away deep in his own half.

It sets Zlatan Ibrahimovic free, but the Southampton goalkeeper makes up by blocking the United striker's shot.

Then Antonio Valencia clips the ball into the box for Anthony Martial, who leaves it for Paul Pogba and the chance is gone.

Communication issues there, must not have understood what they were saying to each other.

Finals are often boring, cagey affairs.

What a brilliant game this is and with a brilliant atmosphere. What a treat to be here.

It's got everything. Disallowed goals, incredible free kicks, tackles.

Brilliant game. The Man Utd fans to our right look a little shell-shocked.

Southampton's fans are roaring their team on and have been wonderfully rewarded. Manolo Gabbiadini's goal was outstanding, instinctive and on the turn.

Manchester United have been abject all day - but particularly bad at the back.

On a yellow card, Jesse Lingard is a lucky boy to still be on the pitch. He clips the heels of Nathan Redmond, but the Southampton man stays on his feet.

Had he have gone down, Lingard would have been off for an early bath.

Southampton earn another corner and United cannot clear their lines.

It is that man Manolo Gabbiadini again, holding off Chris Smalling, spinning and striking a finish low into the net.
