    Bayern Munich 1-2 Real Madrid

Real finally make their extra man count. The ball is swung in superbly by Marco Asensio and poked in to the net by Ronaldo.

I said there was no saving this one in the previous entry. But Manuel Neuer very much should have saved it. He has made some superb saves in this game but that went through his legs.

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Real Madrid

Another superb save from Manuel Neuer! The ball is cut back to Ronaldo on the penalty spot and his shot is fierce but somehow repelled by one firm hand from the Bayern keeper. Brilliant.

Atletico have a task on their hands to thread the eye of a needle on the edge of the box. Nine blue-shirted players patrol the space in front of the area, hunting down the ball.

Alex Lamberti:‏ Any player gesturing to the referee to give a yellow card should be booked themselves. Seen it too much in the Champions League.

Josh Earl: Red card changes everything. Inexcusable from Javi Martinez, why dive in there??

Oh, so close! Torres works the ball to Griezmann wide right and his ball into the corridor of uncertainty flies ahead of sub Angel Correa.

Torres isn't happy. He wanted a pull-back to the penalty spot where he was waiting to pounce.

    Atletico Madrid 1-0 Leicester

20 minutes to go. This will do nicely for Leicester. If they can see out the rest of this game without conceding they will see it as a major moral victory.

If they can get an away goal, though... nah, let's not get greedy.

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Real Madrid

Bayern have taken Xabi Alonso and Franck Ribery off as Carlo Ancelotti re-arranges his team in the aftermath of that red card. Sergio Ramos curls a free-kick over the top as Real try and make their man count.

    Atletico Madrid 1-0 Leicester

To be fair, for all of Atletico's possession, Schmeichel is not having to make save after save. Leicester are holding the Spanish side at bay. It is asking a lot for them to do that for the rest of this game, though. The ball is exclusively in one half of the pitch. And it is not Atletico's.

  14. RED CARD - Javi Martinezpublished at 61 mins

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Real Madrid

He'd only just been booked and now Javi Martinez is off! He didn't have to dive in on halfway and catch Cristiano Ronaldo. Now Bayern have a problem...

Atletico's first change sees Angel Correa replace Yannick Carrasco. Simeone going for more goals.

    Atletico Madrid 1-0 Leicester

Boos from the Leicester fans, screams of fury from the players in blue. Mahrez trips Carrasco to give Atletico a free-kick wide left. City think this ref is favouring Atletico.

Thankfully the free-kick comes to nothing, otherwise some Foxes players could well spontaneously combust.

That missed chance was Gareth Bale's final contribution - he comes off and on comes Marco Asensio.

    Atletico Madrid 1-0 Leicester

Oh Fernando. I remember when you used to be so deadly, so efficient, so... good. What happened? He latches on to a forward pass and lines up a shot but slips in the attempt and scuffs the ball badly wide. It is embarrassing for the forward but sadly something we have seen before.

    Atletico Madrid 1-0 Leicester

Leicester are screaming for a penalty. They are not going to get one, though. Riyad Mahrez weaves one way and the next to try and get a shooting chance in the box before tumbling somewhat theatrically. Mahrez isn't happy, but it wasn't a penalty.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 56 mins

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Real Madrid

A great save but Gareth Bale should really have scored! Luka Modric thumps a cross into the middle, Gareth Bale stretches to meet it and Manuel Neuer turns his header away from a few yards out.
