Atletico Madrid looking like old hands at this Champions League stuff - which of course they are. Diego Simeone's side are taking a very measured approach, trying to draw Leicester City's fire while posing a threat of their own.

In no hurry at all - just hoping to quieten the crowd and frustrate The Foxes.

Vardy did really well there. He had to wait and be really patient. When the ball first arrived there was noone in the box. Okazaki put it well wide of the goal. He almost couldn't sort his feet out quickly enough and Oblak was in no real danger.

Best chance yet for Leicester! Riyad Mahrez drifts in from the wing into the number 10 role, he finds Jamie Vardy bursting into the area, wide on the left. He cuts it back and Shinji Okazaki is there at the front post, but can only toe it over!

    Promising signs though.

It's not a great corner though from Riyad Mahrez and Diego Godin and co are able to clear.

Bayern are confidently knocking the ball around and look full of belief they can become only the third side to overturn a first-leg home defeat in a Champion League tie.

Arjen Robben stretches his legs to chase a long pass through the middle, but Keylor Navas is alert to race out of his area and boot clear.

Robben is 33 years old now. Still has the pace of a 23-year-old. Rapid.

Atletico Madrid are growing into the game now, lengthy spells of possession. They do not concede many, if any, under Diego Simeone. And that's the challenge for Leicester.

The main difference between the two sides at the moment is the way they go forward. When Atletico attack, they're attacking as a team. Leicester are attacking in ones and twos at the moment. It's one-dimensional and when it breaks down it's very easy for Atletico to pick up.

How are Bayern not ahead? Carlo Ancelotti is not sure.

Franck Ribery wriggles clear down the left, crossing low to ex-Barca man Thiago. He looks certain to score from six yards out, only to see his shot hit the back of a diving Marcelo. What a block.

Arjen Robben fires the loose ball into the ground and it hits the side-netting.

    Bayern believe. Madrid don't.

This game is playing played at a great intensity and tempo, if not great quality so far. Shinji Okazaki beats one man but Danny Drinkwater can only drill a shot into the shins of a team-mate.

At the other end Yannick Carrasco puts in a dangerous cross but Danny Simpson is there to cut it out, with Antoine Griezmann waiting.

Atletico Madrid are unbelievably well-organised. They are so well drilled.

So far the centre-backs are quite happy to have a race with Vardy. If he wants to run in behind, let him do it. They're giving him a little nudge but not enough to give a foul away. Dark arts, call it whatever you want but they are very, very good defenders.

I wonder what the average Spanish football fan knows about Leicester? Jamie Vardy's pace will be high on the list and he gets in a footrace over the top, but Diego Godin does well to barge him off his stride.

A 'proper' defender isn't he, Godin.

Real Madrid 0-0 Bayern Munich (Agg: 2-1)

Arturo Vidal is booked for hacking down Isco on the edge of the Bayern box. That means he will miss the semi-final first leg. If Bayern get there of course...

More worrying for Vidal and his mates is Cristiano Ronaldo standing over the free-kick. They need not have bothered. The Madrid man smashes into the wall rather than the net.

Interesting from Antoine Griezmann, who picks the ball up on halfway and signals for his team-mates to calm down, before playing the ball back to his goalkeeper Jan Oblak. A 0-0 sends the visitors through. Game management.

Lively start from the visitors in Madrid.

Boos greet every touch by a Bayern player - and there have been quite a lot of them in the opening few minutes.

But the German champions are yet to create a bona fide chance.

Leicester City went full-on with the pre-match build-up. The players were greeted by a cascade of colour, dry ice from the roof of the stands and a pyrotechnic display outside the ground behind one of the goals.

Now it's up to Craig Shakespeare's players.
