Twenty minutes left, still no sign of immediate changes from Arsene Wenger. Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck?

    Arsenal 0-1 Manchester City

The dance begins. The more Arsenal push on, the more space they will leave for City on the break. With Jesus Navas, Raheem Sterling, Kevin de Bruyne and Leroy Sane on the pitch the men in blue can counter with the best of them.

Arsenal win a corner now though.

The Poznan. Inflatable bananas. Blue flags. Pandemonium in the Manchester City end of Wembley as Sergio Aguero does the job again.

The Argentine had the pace to escape Nacho Monreal and the technique and composure to beat Petr Cech. A class act.

Now Arsenal...what have you got left?

Greg Matthews: Arsenal's defensive stupidity hits again. Who thinks it's a good idea to leave Aguero 1-on-1 on the halfway line?

Harrison Short: Anyone else think that Cech had the chance to jump on the ball after Aguero's heavy touch? Poor keeping

Sahil Oberoi: Barring Thierry Henry, I think i'd pick Aguero over any other striker that we've seen in the Premier League.

Arsenal will surely have to change something to get back into the game here. They have offered very little, with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez barely featuring at all as attacking threats.

Andrew Priestley: Devastating from Aguero, although Petr Cech was very poor in that one-on-one. Came out, then back-tracked into no-mans land.

John: Ramsey's fault, as usual the move breaks down with him and he gave cheap ball away

Edward Githinji: Well that was lazy from Petr Cech ...

    Arsenal 0-1 Manchester City

It's 12 goals in 12 games for Sergio Aguero, and a clinically taken one. There was just a half second when he appeared to have taken a  slightly heavy touch, but he managed to poke it away from Cech and in in no time at all.

What a great signing Sergio Aguero has been for Manchester City.

That was absolutely ruthless from Manchester City, the minute Arsenal emptied the back line. It is a poor mistake from Aaron Ramsey, he loses the ball at a vital time.

I feel Cech could do better. It shouldn't be as easy as that even though Ramsey has lost the ball.

  9. 'A clever finish'published at 16:22 British Summer Time 23 April 2017

Aguero there produces such a clever finish. The ball to him from Yaya Toure was excellent, and he's too quick for Monreal.

He waits for the keeper to come out and makes it look so easy. Petr Cech didn't know whether to come out or not, and that made it so easy for Aguero to make up his mind.

Football can be a beautiful game even when reduced to its most basic parts. Arsenal have a corner, it's headed out and Yaya Toure looks up to send Sergio Aguero in on goal from the halfway line.

It's a lovely pass, Aguero is one-on-one with Petr Cech and the outcome is never in doubt. He takes a lovely touch, looks like going around the keeper but then lifts it past Cech with the outside of his foot.

Goal number 30 for the season.

There he is! Chance for Olivier Giroud as Fernandinho is caught with the ball on the edge of his own area, the tackle deflects into the path of Giroud - but Nicolas Otamendi slams the door in his face.

    Great tackle.

Arsenal have had to contend with plenty of jibes about being "too soft" in the past - not today as they show real defensive discipline and a willingness to meet Manchester City in the physical challenges.

They are even getting one or two moments of joy in an attacking context as a tense second half unfolds here at Wembley.

Pep Guardiola is still animated, arms outstretched calling for more width from his players to test Arsenal.

Arsenal are definitely committing more bodies forwards now, but we are still yet to see much goalmouth action in the opening hour. Raise it!

Leroy Sane dances around a defender to break into the penalty area, he cuts it back to Raheem Sterling, whose shot is easily blocked.

Claudio Bravo has had one of his better days between the sticks so far for Manchester City but he has a nervous moment, slipping as he comes to collect a backpass but he manages to pop a pass off square to Vincent Kompany.

Good attack for Arsenal now as Alexis Sanchez wins a free-kick on the left, it's rolled back to Granit Xhaka and his shot is well blocked by a man in blue.

Is the game opening up now?
