Nathan Back: Makes me laugh all these people moaning about Arsenal kicking City off the park, seem to remember it happening to AFC in past

Dave Payn: When Arsenal get 'bullied' they're told to 'man up'. When Arsenal dish it out it's unacceptable. Couldn't make it up

Arsenal now want a penalty as Alexis Sanchez goes down at the far post, he was already on his way down before Jesus Navas laid a hand on his shoulder though. A tetchy atmosphere in the stands and on the pitch.

No, I don't think it has gone out. Steve Child, the linesman, was definitely up with play, but he has made the wrong call. Arsenal got away with one there.

'Clearly a goal' or 'a good spot?'

Like I say, the super slow-mo replays suggest that some of the ball was still in play, but how a linesman is expected to call that at full speed, I don't know.

Is this the footballing version of Muhammad Ali's "Rope A Dope" tactic which beat George Foreman?

Manchester City are the team with the ball as Arsenal sit back, seemingly asking them tho show what they have got.

It's a dangerous ploy but Arsenal, for all their passivity, are still in this FA Cup semi-final.

The ball did seem to go behind the goal and back into play. It is the right call. A good spot.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 40 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Manchester City

City score! No! No. It's been ruled out.

Leroy Sane does brilliantly to keep the ball in on the left and stand up a cross, it loops over Petr Cech. Sergio Aguero fires in, Cech stops it about on the line and Raheem Sterling buries the loose ball into the roof of the net.

The linesman flags though. He says Sane's cross went out of play behind the goal before coming back in.

Is he right? Ooooooohhhhh that is close! I'd say 90% of the ball was out...

Take a look as earlier David Silva, possibly the smallest player on the pitch, tested Petr Cech with a header.

Raheem Sterling and Yaya Toure paint a lovely picture on the edge of the area before sending in Jesus Navas - but he's offside.

Sergio Aguero then does get a shot away but it's into the side-netting.

Richard Morris: Foul after foul by Arsenal and referee taking little action. Trying to kick City off the park as they cannot get the ball.

Liz Tray: Pretty easy for Arsenal to defend against this poor last-third play. What have we created with all this possession?

James Watson: MCFC getting kicked all over the pitch. Referee needs to act.

It was a knee to the base of Sergio Aguero's back from Laurent Koscielny which has caused the trouble, but Aguero is now gingerly back on the pitch. A scrappy few minutes, we are lacking any moments of real quality.

At the minute Arsenal are handling the pressure reasonably well. When City have the opportunity to get the ball in the box, get it in there.

Arsenal have always been thought of as a soft touch so this half has been nice to see.

Manchester City have already lost David Silva to injury and now Sergio Aguero is down and needs treatment. He looks sore, another knee in the back by the looks of it.

Leroy Sane leads the Arsenal defence down a cul-de-sac with a jinking run and he wins a soft free-kick. It comes to nothing but Sane then runs Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain into the penalty area and the England man defends very well.

With David Silva off, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will look to Kevin de Bruyne to take on the role of creator-in-chief.

Silva never recovered from Gabriel's early challenge and was still very unhappy with referee Craig Pawson as he went off.

City still enjoying most of the possession but are struggling to get a clear sight of Arsenal keeper Petr Cech. Frustration for them so far.

I don't think it is a penalty. Oxlade Chamberlain makes no attempt to play the ball and Aguero leaves his legs there and goes down too easily.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 29 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Manchester City

Raheem Sterling has been a very busy man since coming on, buzzing about on the right wing before screwing a volley wide from the edge of the area.

Sergio Aguero then picks the ball up just inside the area and goes down as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain closes in...nothing given!

I think Aguero caught his own heel with his other foot.
