Celtic are still in control of the scoreline, but Thistle have spurned two clear chances this half. Edwards, Azeez and Amoo have all troubled the central defensive pairing of Lustig and Simunovic, who have both lacked concentration at times. The longer that it remains a single-goal lead, the more ambitious Thistle will become and Celtic's defence does not look as sound as it has been.

And that is Sinclair's last act this evening as he jogs off to be replaced by Stuart Armstrong.

Scott Sinclair breaks through for a one-on-one but is denied a second goal as Tomas Cerny spreads himself well and saves with his legs.

Thistle make a change as Chris Erskine comes on for David Amoo.

Sean Welsh is booked for a trip on Celtic skipper Scott Brown. The free kick is in a very promising position, just outside the box, but Moussa Dembele can only hit the defensive wall.

Thistle right-back Ziggy Gordon charges forward almost 50 yards and suddenly he can see the whites of Craig Gordon's eyes. The shot is on the angle and he drags it wide of the far post. Another good chance wasted for the visitors.

Warm applause for Calvin Miller as the teenage debutant is replaced by Emilio Izaguirre at left-back.

We're approaching the hour mark and Thistle are still hanging in there. Three of their last four league visits to Celtic Park have been 1-0 defeats.

Patrick Roberts has another pop at goal but this time his shot flies over the top. A much livelier tempo now...

Tomas Cerny perhaps redeems himself for the goal by making a vital block as Patrick Roberts sizes up his options from eight yards. A great reflex stop to keep out the Celtic winger's shot.

Another Thistle corner. This time Sean Welsh's delivery is flicked off target by Abdul Osman.

Now Thistle come forward and a David Amoo takes aim for the front post, only for a deflection to take it wide. From the corner, Liam Lindsay threatens with a powerful header but it flashes wide.

Moussa Dembele means business as he latches on to pass from Patrick Roberts and thunders in a shot that takes a deflection on its way wide of the target.

Great movement from the Celtic striker, who was a bit off the pace in the first half.

We're off again. No changes in personnel.

Unless Thistle can come up with something after the interval, Celtic are on their way to a 12th straight league win and that would lift them 14 points clear of Rangers at the top of the Premiership.

BBC Sportsound pundit Pat Bonner may be praising the visitors but he wasn't too impressed by keeper Tomas Cerny for the goal. Scott Sinclair's shot wasn't too far away when it whizzed past him. Was he unsighted or just too slow to react?

Rather than be cowed by conceding the opening goal, Thistle have continued to be lively and adventurous. There remains a lack of composure in the final third, but the harrying and prompting of Ryan Edwards, in particular, and the strength of Ade Azeez up front, has made it an awkward night at times for the Celtic defence. Even so, the home side lead and have the individuals on the field who can carry the most attacking threat, in Sinclair, Dembele and Roberts. Celtic have looked a little out of sorts at times, their play lacking its usual cutting edge and dynamism, but they are capable of raising their game in the second half, while Thistle might regret the half-chances they accrued but failed to take.

Scott Sinclair's goal separates the sides but it hasn't been a vintage Celtic performance on a cold, wet night.

Thistle striker Ade Azeez is causing a few problems and should have done better when through on goal shortly before the break.
