  1. Archibald seeks Thistle improvementpublished at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2016

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald on BBC Sportsound

"We did very in the second half on Saturday and kept a normally noisy Tynecastle very quiet, so hopefully we can do that again.

"You will always get chances against Celtic, but you have to believe in yourselves and not give away easy goals like we did in the 4-1 game.

"Hamilton did that against them, as did Dundee, so we need to improve.

"Celtic are able to bring in some quality players so it will be much of a muchness."

    Celtic v Partick Thistle (19:45)

It's not quite all doom and gloom for Jags fans making the short journey from west to east in Glasgow.

Alan Archibald's side turned in an impressive second half showing at Tynecastle on Saturday and were unlucky not to take home more than a point after a 1-1 draw.

At the same time, Celtic were a bit wobbly after the interval against Dundee, winning 2-1 as substitute Faissal El Bakhtaoui missed a late sitter for the visitors.

Since their return to the top flight, Thistle have been stubborn opponents at Celtic Park, losing 1-0 on three league trips and 2-0 on the other occasion.

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

"I'm sure Brendan Rodgers will have mentioned that [Ryan Bertrand] comparison to Calvin Miller and he'll be thinking 'the manager believes in me'. That's critical for a young player. If he's anything like young [Kieran] Tierney, then wow..."

  5. 'Celtic changes won't alter fluency'published at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2016

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers on BBC Sportsound

"We know teams will come here and sit in against us. We need to play with speed in our movement and speed with the ball. I've been able to make changes this season without it affecting our fluency. Our front five are fresh and that should give us good energy.

"Calvin is one of a number of good players in the development team and for me this job is also about bringing in young players. He's very quick and he reminds me of Ryan Bertrand, who I had at Chelsea and was converted from a winger to left back."

Miller, who is primarily a winger, is expected to play at left-back.

Dropping out are Emilio Izaguirre, Erik Sviatchenko, Gary Mackay-Steven, Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Christie, Nir Bitton, Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths

Thistle make a few alterations after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Tynecastle, with Ziggy Gordon, Steven Lawless and David Amoo coming in for Adam Barton, Christie Elliott and Kris Doolan.

Barton took a knock at the weekend but he's able to make the bench, along with the other two dropping out.

  12. Firm favourites for festive fixturepublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2016

    Celtic v Partick Thistle (19:45)

Celtic are unbeaten in 20 domestic matches since manager Brendan Rodgers took over in the summer.

The Premiership leaders are averaging more than three goals a game at home domestically and can go 14 points clear with a win - and still have a game in hand on closest challengers Rangers.

Just for good measure, the champions have won 17 games in a row against tonight's opposition, the most recent of those victories coming at Firhill earlier this month with a 4-1 score.

It's fair to say the odds are stacked against bottom of the table Partick Thistle at Celtic Park tonight...
