    Monaco 0-1 Juventus

Paulo Dybala waltzes his way into the area before clipping a cross towards a lurking Gonzalo Higuain at the far post, but Danijel Subasic comes off his line to grab the ball out of the air.

If Juventus get another goal, that would surely put the tie to bed. It would be a big ask for Monaco to score three goals against this defence.

The game is opening up now with chances at both ends.

First, Claudio Marchisio almost capitalises on a static Monaco defence, striding towards goal but Danijel Subasic is alert and closes down the angle and makes the save.

Then, Monaco break quickly but Kylian Mbappe's shot is blocked.

    Monaco 0-1 Juventus

Juventus attack for the first time in the second half as Alex Sandro switches play from one side of the pitch to the other, finding Dani Alves unmarked on the edge of the box. The former Barcelona fullback gets excited and shoots, but his dipping effort goes harmlessly wide.

Now Thomas Lemar feeds the ball into the path of Kylian Mbappe but the pass has too much pace on it, even for the Monaco forward, and Gianluigi Buffon gets to it first.

Monaco need to make this early pressure count.

    Big, big chance for Monaco!

Bernando Silva puts it on a plate for Radamel Falcao. The striker is through on goal but he goes for placement over power and Gianluigi Buffon gets down to make the save.

Good start to the second half by the hosts.

Another day, another Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick.

The Portugal forward got the 47th (!) of his career yesterday as Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 3-0.

What connection does that have with the six players above? Find that out, and other interesting facts, here.

At the moment, the old heads of Juventus are getting the better of youthful Monaco.

The French side has the energy but the Italians have the composure. A perfect away performance so far by Juventus.

Tiemoue Bakayako looks very intimidating with the face mask he is wearing to cover an injury he picked up in training. It's not causing him to shirk any challenges, he's heavily involved as Monaco try to regain control of the game.

Despite his bright start, Kylian Mbappe is now the quietest man on the pitch in terms of touches - just 11. Miralem Pjanic is the most active man out there with 38.

    Monaco 0-1 Juventus

It's been a pretty good debut season for Gonzalo Higuain - 30 goals already. I wouldn't bet against him getting another tonight as well. Any chance Juventus have had, he has been heavily involved.

Monaco won't want to go in the second leg with a deficit. They will attack and that could open up more opportunities for Higuain.

A look back at the Juventus opener highlights its team nature. Giorgio Chiellini's pass back to Gianluigi Buffon started the move and it flowed up the right flank. The back heel from Dani Alves (23) was played blind but one of the world's most dangerous finishers just so happened to be running on to it.

If you look closely, it's actually a one-two between Gonzalo Higuain and Alves.

    Monaco 0-1 Juventus

Almost an instant reply from Monaco.

They win a free kick, 30 yards goal. Thomas Lemar curls it in behind the defence and Tiemoure Bakayoko stretches out a boot but just can't quite reach it.

It looks like Gonzalo Higuain got the faintest of touches to take it away from the Monaco man but a goal kick is given.
