    Juventus 1-4 Real Madrid

Juventus are now up to get their medals. A painful feeling without a doubt, but maybe better to lose 4-1 than lose on penalties or be seconds away from winning, as Atletico Madrid were in both of their recent defeats to Real Madrid.

That red card for Juan Cuadrado needs looking at.

This was an excellent opportunity for him. He usually gets great protection in front of him but there wasn't any in the second-half this evening and you have to feel for him.

When you look at the two teams on show tonight, it's clear there's a long way our teams need to go to reach this standard. It will take a lot of work and a lot of big signings to catch even Juventus.

That's another decision the manager got right. Isco has been superb and he had to make a choice with Bale tonight. It's been a very successful move for him to Madrid so he will decide on his future.

The stats for a lot of this season for when Bale has been out doesn't favour him well though so they will have to look at that.

He will have options from the biggest clubs in the Premier League if Madrid decide to sell him that's for sure.

He was incredible. The way he controlled the pace - particularly in the second half was just excellent. He was the one guy picking the passes and turning opponents. He was driving his team forward. He dominated the midfield. It was an excellent performance from Modric.

You could hear a pin drop here with each goal, I am surrounded by 40,000 fans in Turin and it's a scene of huge disappointment.

The wait goes on, they have not lifted the cup since 1996. Two years ago against Barcelona they were happy to be there but they expected to win tonight.

They had only conceded three goals all season.

    A big one to ignore.....

Niall Curran: Real deserving of win - ignoring that fees were 7 years apart, amazing to think Higuain cost just £5m less than Ronaldo.

    Harsh words for Ramos

Shocking decision from the ref decides the match in Real's favour (again). Probably a yellow for Ramos for the challenge (out of control - irrelevant if he gets the ball); definitely a second yellow for his pathetic simulation. Real con the ref again.

    Matt from London

Brilliant play acting by Ramos has put the seal on the Madrid win. Such cynical cheating is really underrated in the modern game, but so vital in the modern game, snuffed out any chance of a late comeback - my man of the match.

Zidane's answered questions spectacularly tonight. The way he has handled the big players and the confidence he has shown in the role has been excellent. Not for once in that second-half did they ever feel in danger of losing that game.

He 's achieved something very special here this evening. To be the first to retain the trophy since 1990 - you can't underestimate that. It's too easy to say he's got amazing players because you have to handle them. He has and he's done it with such good style.

Whatever Zidane said to them at half-time worked to perfection. The ability they have shown in the second half...

It has been dominant. It was great to watch. The way Ronaldo took his second goal, the way he floated into the space...

Juventus were outdone. They were outdone by Ronaldo and the quick play from Real Madrid. You have to give them huge credit.

They were just too good and too quick for that Juventus team in the second-half.
