Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "We are not going to achieve big targets this season because in performances we are not able to score goals. We are going to try and keep going but we create too much and get nothing.
"Of course I’m sad and upset because the players don’t deserve that but maybe in the future these kinds of things will make us stronger.
"Tottenham is the best team by far in the league when you let them play. I enjoy when I am at home and I see Tottenham play."

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a tough game for both sides. It is true, they were better in the first half and maybe deserved more, it was lucky for us to be 0-0 but in the second half the game was more balanced. We conceded two and it was difficult to come back but they always believed, that is important. It's a massive point for us.
"From the beginning you could smell that they tried to change the feeling from the last game at Everton and were better on the mental level. Maybe we were too relaxed, and we told them that at half-time. We had to be more aggressive in some areas, and relaxed going forward. City were better but football is sometimes about belief, when you cannot play at your best."
On Kyle Walker's hand in the back on Raheem Sterling: "For me it was not a penalty. That is England, and you know it is the same if we complain Leroy Sane hand-balled for the first goal. I thought it was handball, but it's difficult for the referee. In the game there are lots of pushes in England that aren't a foul and it must be the same inside and outside the box."

In a game where 22 players make countless mistakes, one mistake by the officials is the one that everyone talks about. Every single goal today was a result of at least one player's mistake, and yet all people will blame it on is one official's decision. Hardly seems right.

Pep Guardiola is asked for his take on Kyle Walker's hand in the back on Raheem Sterling. He's, what's the word... Not in a good mood.
"The first question is about the referee? This is the BBC, you are prestigious, you should talk about the football not the referee.
"OK. We played good, it was an outstanding performance but it's a pity what happened. We created more chances, conceded few but were not able to win, and again right decisions were against.
"Of course you have to score goals but we had so many chances and were not able. Everton shoot four times, four goals, they shoot two times Tottenham, two goals. It is impossible to create something like this.
"All you can do is create and play better and better but it is the same the whole season. We keep going and I am, we are upset, sad at what happened but I am so proud about what we did and the players don't deserve that again.
"I like to play good football. Leroy [Sane] was amazing today. Tomorrow we will be happier but today we are sad, because we played good."

For all the City fans crowing about a hand placed on Sterling's back, just remember it wouldn't have been 2-0 had Lloris not made two uncharacteristic, calamitous errors.
