  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Middlesbrough 1-1 West Brom

Oh, how are West Brom not back in front?! Matt Phillips stoops low to meet a cross from the right but plants his header against the post before Salomon Rondon slices the rebound wide.

Then, down the other end, Ben Foster again has to be alert to prevent an own goal, tipping over Darren Fletcher's sliced intervention following a Middlesbrough cross.

    It's all happening.

    The comeback is on?

Arsenal have been rampant in this half and finally get a goal back. Alexis Sanchez creates it with a clever flick across the face of goal to pick out Alex Iwobi, who steers his shot into the far corner.

Swansea's hopes of putting some fresh air between themselves and the bottom three take a hit. Southampton break down the left, Ryan Bertrand's crisp, low cross being turned in by Shane Long at the near post. Clinical.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Arsenal 0-2 Watford

It's all Arsenal at the moment and only a belting save by Heurelho Gomes denies Alex Iwobi. The forward plays a one-two with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before attempting to squeeze a shot in at Gomes' near post, but the Watford keeper reacts quickly to stick out a hand and push the ball away.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Middlesbrough 1-1 West Brom

Alvaro Negredo isn't known as the Beast for nothing. The bulky Boro striker throws his weight around in a tangle with Gareth McAuley, the Baggies centre-back coming off worst. Negredo has no idea what he has done wrong, the referee reckons he illegally used his elbow.

Boro have started this second half well but that age old problem of having less attacking threat than the Dalai Lama continues.

  8. CLOSE!published at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Arsenal 0-2 Watford

Theo Walcott makes an almost instant impression as he twice goes close to halving the deficit.

First, he plants a shot in the sidenetting after being picked out by Laurent Koscielny before seeing his low drive held by Heurelho Gomes.

Arsenal look much better, although that's not too hard.

  9. Frustration for Liverpoolpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool have dominated possession in a frantic Anfield atmosphere but Chelsea have remained calm and compact, not giving Jurgen Klopp's side a serious chance.

Klopp may want to change things but has his best option been removed? Sadio Mane, flown back from the Africa Cup Of Nations after Senegal lost to Cameroon in the quarter-final, stopped his warm-up and instantly had to have an ice pack applied to his knee.

  10. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

No wonder Sunderland are struggling. Fabio Borini comes up with a contender for the worst cross of the season, booting a 40-yard effort from the right over everyone and out for a goal-kick. If we're being generous then he might have been trying to catch out Spurs keeper Michel Vorm. However we're not...

    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

That goal had a degree of familiarity about it. Scott Dann has scored against Bournemouth for the third successive game, having netted against Eddie Howe's side at Selhurst Park in both August and February 2016 - while the Cherries' fragility at set pieces - a recurrent theme in 2017 - continues.

    Burnley 0-0 Leicester

Cameras zoom in on new Burnley signing Robbie Brady sat above the dugouts. He wasn't there in the first half, did the Clarets have him hidden within the bowels of Turf Moor so they could reveal him at half-time? Looks that way?

Joey Barton fizzes an effort just wide as Burnley pick up from where they left off.

  14. 'Chelsea doing a professional job'published at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

Chelsea haven't been ambitious as such, they've done a professional job, they've sat back, soaked up the pressure and taken their opportunity.

Liverpool need a presence around the box, they need to bring on either Sadio Mane or Daniel Sturridge.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

And while they restart, it is time for a breather at Anfield. The half-time queues for a chicken balti pie in the home stands will be subdued.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

We're back under way in the second half of tonight's 19:45 GMT kick offs.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Arsenal 0-2 Watford

A huge cheers erupts at the Emirates as Theo Walcott takes his place on the pitch for the second half. He replaces Olivier Giroud.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

Bit early for this. Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois faffs about with his goal-kick, earning a booking for time-wasting. Two minutes of stoppage-time for Liverpool to find a leveller.

  20. 'Liverpool need a goalscorer'published at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

    Chris Waddle

If you look what they've got, Firmino is never in the box enough, you have to be selfish to be a goalscorer, and he isn't in the box enough.

Firmino, Coutinho and Lallana are all creative players - you should let them wander around, but you they need someone who is going to stay in the box and look for goals and to be selfish.

That is what Sturridge gives you - I don't know what the problem is with Sturridge, but then nobody ever does...
