  1. 'Pure quality'published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Chelsea

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

What a free-kick, that is pure quality.

Was it rehearsed? Luiz was talking to the centre-back one minute, then he runs up and puts it past the keeper, who is flat on his heels.

It goes right over the wall by the way, an extraordinary free-kick.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Mark Mitchener

Could Junior Stanislas be the man to kick Bournemouth into life tonight? In the space of a minute, he's played a smart one-two with Joshua King, had a shot deflected wide for the Cherries' first corner, and then drilled another shot straight at keeper Wayne Hennessy when Palace failed to clear.

Are any Palace fans following our other live text tonight, following transfer deadline day? They may wish to know that chairman Steve Parish, sitting up in the stand here, was spotted a few minutes earlier making a call on his mobile phone...

    David Luiz (24 mins)

Cheeky! Leaders Chelsea are ahead after some quick-thinking by David Luiz. The Blues win a free-kick about 25 yards out, and while Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet is expecting Willian to whip the ball in and organises his defence accordingly, the Brazil centre-back drills it into the bottom left corner. Anfield silenced.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Arsenal 0-2 Watford

Arsenal are up against the ropes. It is wave after wave of Watford attacks and only a superb Petr Cech save denies Daryl Janmaat from adding a third.

If this was a game of Fifa, the person playing as Arsenal would have quit their game in a huff by now. Awful stuff.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Southampton

Oriol Romeu is playing well of late and he's at it again here, 26 passes complete from 26 played, he's like a tiger into the tackle in the Southampton midfield.

Swansea have improved after seeing little of the ball early on but short of a Gylfi Sigurdsson strike from range, they've not really penetrated the away defence.

Again they hit one from range, LEROY FER... turned around smartly by Fraser Forster.

Bournemouth have been very quiet in this game but they've just gone within a whisker of scoring as Junior Stanislas' shot deflects just wide.

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

Liverpool are playing at a high tempo, but I don't know how long they can keep that up.

Once they slow down and the spaces start opening up, that's when Chelsea will be dangerous.

    Sunderland 0-0 Tottenham

Ouch! Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell absolutely leathers Moussa Dembele to stop a Spurs counter attack. Late, high and not very pretty. The frustration of a man who has not won in 36 starts for his club...

    Arsenal 0-2 Watford

This is as bad a performance I have seen from Arsenal, but take nothing away from Watford - they've been excellent.

The visitors have had five shots on goal with four of those on target. Arsenal? One shot on goal, none on target.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 West Brom

Every time West Brom win a free-kick near the Boro box, there is the chance of a goal. Boro's defence press the panic button. Chris Brunt's in-swinger from the left hits Boro heads, Albion feet, Boro backsides and Albion knees as a game of pinball breaks out. But Albion can't hit the jackpot, meaning Boro are still in the game.

Not much to shout about in this game after a fairly open start. Marc Albrighton has just had a pop at goal, but it's right down Tom Heaton's throat.

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool are really pressing Chelsea back into their own territory and dominating possession - a start appreciated by The Kop and manager Jurgen Klopp, who is regularly applauding his side's efforts.

Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte, protected from the rain by a smart baseball cap, looks agitated as he tries to direct affairs from his technical area.

The Hornets fully deserve their lead - they have had more touches in and around the Arsenal box (right graphic) than the hosts have at the other end of the pitch.

Watford's high pressing game is giving Arsenal a right headache.

  17. 'Chelsea are chasing shadows'published at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger, BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

Liverpool have been excellent, it's all them.

They haven't had a chance yet though, that final pass in the final third is just a yard too heavy.

The football up to the final third has been excellent though, Chelsea are chasing shadows.

    Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

Liverpool are bossing this one now. They've had a whopping 87% of the ball and then force Thibaut Courtois into serious action for the first time. Gini Wijnaldum has a pop from the edge of the box, the Chelsea keeper flinging himself to his left to stop the ball hitting the back of his net.

Considering the way Bournemouth have defended set pieces in recent weeks, it's no wonder that a breathless hush descends on the home fans every time Big Sam's men have a dead-ball situation,

There have already been some nervy moments at the back - Artur Boruc needing two goes to punch away Palace's first corner - but with the wind and rain blowing in the Eagles' favour, it's the away side who have dominated so far. A Joshua King shot from 25 yards was the Cherries' first effort at goal, with a quarter of the game gone.
