Nacer Chadli comfortably intercepts a pass before Joe Allen intercepts.

Phil Bardsley gets caught by James Morrison and he's rolling around on the floor. A free-kick for Stoke and a telling off for Bardsley.

The players are back out, to the strains of Insomnia by Faithless. An excellent choice.

A bit of head tennis from West Brom will see out the first half.

Stoke started to get into the swing of things towards the end of that but it has been a slick performance from West Brom.

They've had the pace on Stoke and the Nacer Chadli-James Morrison combination is working a dream.

Joe Allen comes close this time for Stoke!

He nicks into a pocket of space to meet Marko Arnautovic's cross, heads it down and Ben Foster sprawls to hold it into his chest.

Ooft! That's a belter from Ryan Shawcross, who hammers a header inches wide.

The corner goes all wrong and Salomon Rondon breaks.

The corner finds Gareth McAuley, whose neat little flick finds Jake Livermore. Livermore takes aim but the ball slices wide.

Neat work from James Morrison and Nacer Chadli again comes off for the Baggies, finding Matt Phillips.

He's in a cracking position but his effort deflects up and over the bar. Corner.

Chris Brunt assesses the situation, takes a breath, floats the ball in and way over everyone's heads. Goal-kick.

Stoke come back up the pitch courtesy of Phil Bardsley but they can't hold onto the ball for any period of time.

Peter Crouch goes in too high on a tackle, limbs all over the show, and that's a free-kick for West Brom.

A superb run from Jake Livermore nearly finds Solomon Rondon, who is virtually unmarked. It's a good bit of work, but the chance goes begging.

A risky back pass from Glenn Whelan sees Rondon and Lee Grant collide. It's eventually given as a foul and there's back slaps all round.

Just as Stoke are getting back into it, Solomon Rondon nearly bags another one for the home side.

James Morrison starts the break, Nacer Chadli eventually picking out Rondon, and it's a belter of a hit that Lee Grant is forced to hammer away.

Stoke try the long ball again, Joe Allen searching for Phil Bardsley, but Chris Brunt sticks his body in.

The visitors think they're owed a free-kick, but there's nothing doing.

Marko Arnautovic gets the first yellow of the game. 

He loses his footing as he goes in for a challenge on Allan Nyom and the ref shows him the card.

Luke Shawcross goes in a little dangerously towards Salomon Rondon, which gets a wave of the hand and an indication to calm down from the ref.

It wins the Baggies a free-kick. Chris Brunt sails it in and Gareth McAuley rises up and makes a meal of it. Wide, and there's rueful grins all round.

That's better from Stoke, Ibrahim Afellay sending the ball in towards Peter Crouch, but Craig Dawson's head puts paid to that idea.

The Baggies break, led by Nacer Chadli, but a good run comes to nothing.

Stoke find a bit of fluency but West Brom's defence crowd them out and race back up the pitch.

Nacer Chadli tries a cute little dink, curling the ball in, but it sails well wide. Meanwhile the boos begin - Saido Berahino is warming up.
