    West Brom 1-0 Stoke

Close! Another good move up the pitch from West Brom, led by Nacer Chadli, and Darren Fletcher is in prime position.

He gets his left foot to it but there's not enough power and a sprawling Lee Grant collects it.

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke

Tony Pulis is ticking as he thinks his side are denied another free-kick, this time with Nacer Chadli being knocked off his feet.

Marko Arnautovic is doing his best for Stoke but he looks a little isolated at the moment. Erik Pieters tries to lift the ball in for him but it's an easy catch for Ben Foster.

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke

West Brom think Ryan Shawcross has been fouled, but there's no dice from the ref.

Nacer Chadli is on the move again, snaking down the right. Allan Nyom curls another fine ball in from out wide, but Stoke are wise to that trick now and boot it back up the field.

  7. Postpublished at 12 mins

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke

James Morrison has magic feet, finding a pass from Chris Brunt.

There's a bit of one two before Brunt sends a lovely one sailing in from the left. Morrison darts forward, legs akimbo, but he can't get a proper touch on it.

  8. Postpublished at 8 mins

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke

That's two in two for Morrison after his strike against Sunderland earlier in the week.

Joe Allen has acres of space to pick out the goal, but his header ends up battering into the floor. Ben Foster picks up the rebound.

A bit of sizing each other up so far. Salomon Rondon comes darting down to pick up a pass, but he ends up sliding feet first into the photographer on the corner.

If I was a manager, I'd want Saido Berahino to be my problem, because he scores goals.

I'm looking forward to Mark Hughes unleashing him.

Berahino has already had some stick from the West Brom fans while going through his warm-up. His first practice shot went high and wide, much to the amusement of the Baggies fans behind the goal. The next couple found the net though, which drew cheers from the Stoke fans.

Both these clubs have given themselves a terrific foundation for a successful season. They are separated by only four points and have managers who continue to get the best out of their players.

That was certainly the case for Tony Pulis when he witnessed Saido Berahino score 20 goals in a season for West Brom. Berahino then became one of his more challenging individual cases, and Pulis will be hoping the striker isn't making any headlines on his instant return to the Midlands.

Mark Hughes, who finally got his man, will hope Berahino can help his team surpass expectations in the long term.

In the shorter term, he'll pray Peter Crouch's renaissance of four goals in five games continues.

  17. Stoke's 90th minute woespublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

West Brom v Stoke (15:00 GMT)

Stoke have conceded in the 90th minute in their two previous matches against West Brom.

Salomon Rondon's 90th minute strike in September snaffled a 1-1 draw for West Brom, while Jonny Evans scored in January to make it 2-1 to West Brom.

Stoke have got to get Berahino's work-rate right.

They have lacked the work-rate of a striker with Wilfried Bony up front this season.

If you aren't getting that work rate from Berahino then you have got to get his finishing right.

  19. 'It's one for Stoke to handle'published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

West Brom v Stoke (15:00 GMT)

Saido Berahino starts today on the bench but he's still the centre of attention.

The striker served an eight-week suspension before the move, but Pulis says he "doesn't give a damn" about Berahino's future as he is no longer his problem.

"He didn't play for me because he wasn't fit enough. Saido is no longer an Albion player," he said.

"He is at a club which I used to manage and I have respect for. It's one for Stoke to handle."

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live

It will be interesting to see Saido Berahino back at The Hawthorns so soon after leaving West Brom for Stoke, but I'd expect him to be on the bench for the Potters.

Both these teams are in the top half and in decent form, but I am backing Baggies boss Tony Pulis to edge it against his old club.

    Prediction: 2-1
