    Hull 0-0 Liverpool

One word for this game - dull. It's been scrappy and light on chances. In fact there's only been one on target so far and that was for Hull. Liverpool are seeing plenty of the ball but run out of ideas when in the final third.

GOAL - Everton 3-0 Bournemouthpublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Romelu Lukaku (29 mins)

Listen, Bournemouth. Everton do not need any help taking you to pieces. For goodness sake, do not do things like this. Simon Francis gifts, and I mean gifts, the ball to Romelu Lukaku, knocking him the ball from the right-back position, leaving the big Belgian only the keeper to beat. It could be a cricket score.

    Southampton 1-1 West Ham

There have only been three shots on goal at St Mary's and two of them have gone in. Not a great deal of action since the goal. West Ham, by the way, are playing in white, because that is a much better contrast to Saints' red and white than their usual claret and blue...

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Sunderland

This has been a very physical encounter - boots flying everywhere. Yohan Cabaye got caught by Seb Larsson inside the first minute and hasn't looked right since. Sam Allardyce notices this and brings off the Frenchman. Joe Ledley replaces him.

    Watford 1-0 Burnley

It's all Watford against 10-man Burnley and the Hornets are denied a peach of a goal by Tom Heaton. M'Baye Niang and Troy Deeney exchange passes before the former's fierce drive is tipped over by Heaton.

  6. goal

GOAL - Everton 2-0 Bournemouthpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    James McCarthy (24 mins)

If Everton's first goal was incredible, this is incredibly lucky. The build-up from a possessed Romelu Lukaku was excellent down the right, jinking through. After that, it got silly. James McCarthy's shot hit Steve Cook, bounced back, hit McCarthy and went in. You just feel it might not be Bournemouth's day...

    West Brom 1-0 Stoke City

There are a fair few empty seats at The Hawthorns, a ground that is in shade bar one corner that is bathed in sunshine. West Brom have had most of the early play but Stoke, in blue, now have the Baggies pressed back. On the touchline, Tony Pulis is pacing like a father in the delivery room.

  8. European live text: Barca & Bayern in actionpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

Plenty of big games across Europe today.

Barcelona's match against Athletic Bilbao is about to start as the Spanish champions bid to narrow the four-point gap on leaders Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich are currently playing Schalke, and in about 45 minutes, Monaco will be playing Nice in Ligue 1. Those two are only separated at the top of the table on goal difference.

Live text updates of all those games here.

    Hull 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool are just starting to assert themselves now. They are having the majority of the possession and have had a couple of pops at goal - Philippe Coutinho seeing an effort blocked at close range before James Milner's drive from distance is scooped up by Eldin Jakupovic.

  10. Football League actionpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

It seems the Premier League is taking up all of today's allotment of goals - the Championship is still waiting for its opening strike...

Billy Sharp's scored after two minutes to give Sheffield United an early lead against Wimbledon in League One, while Scunthorpe are 1-0 up at Southend.

And in League Two, Blackpool and Exeter are making the early running, one goal to the good against Colchester and Crewe respectievly.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Sunderland

Crystal Palace full-back Patrick van Aanholt seems desperate to impress against his former side, but he's not doing a very good job of that. He's skied one effort well over and miscontrolled the ball a couple of times. He's like an over eager terrier.

    Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth have steadied the ship after a start that saw them barely get a kick. They get some joy down the left, but an Everton defence that has been pretty miserly of late holds firm. Decent game.

    Hull 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants his side to become streetwise after the Reds have had their soft underbelly exposed on a number of occasions in recent weeks. Well, it has been a scrappy game. Very physical and we've just had a pause in play after Omar Elabdellaoui came off worse following a tangle with a Liverpool player. He has to go off briefly but is now back on with some tissue paper sticking out of one of his nostrils.

    Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

We're being told that the Romelu Lukaku goal has been 'downgraded' to 30 seconds. Now, you could say what's two seconds between friends, but that now pegs it back to equal fastest in the top flight this season, joining Pedro's effort for Chelsea against Manchester United.

    Andy Carroll (13 mins)

Basically, if you haven't got goals or red cards in your game so far today, we're just not interested. Andy Carroll equalises for West Ham, getting through the Southampton defence and finishing across goal with a low right-footed shot.

    Good grief.

    Manolo Gabbiadini (12 mins)

The Saints are ahead and it's a debut goal for Manolo Gabbiadini, who absolutely hammers the ball home off the underside of the bar.

The first of many? I am definitely going to end up writing Marco Gabbiadini one of these days.

    Troy Deeney (10 mins)

It could be a long, long afternoon for Burnley. Down to 10 men, now behind at Watford. Troy Deeney's flying header puts Watford ahead and has the Hornets on the way to extending Burnley's dismal away form. Any chance they could just play all their games at Turf Moor?

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Sunderlandpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Lamine Kone (10 mins)

Big goal in the battle at the bottom of the table.

It's Lamine Kone - signed by Sam Allardyce when he was Sunderland boss - who gets it, sweeping home after Seb Larsson's free-kick into the box was dropped by Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

    Allardyce isn't dancing anymore.

  19. RED CARD - JEFF HENDRICKpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    Watford 0-0 Burnley

    Ouch.

Burnley's Jeff Hendrick gets his marching orders after flying in two footed on Jose Holebas. Straight red and Burnley have it all to do if they are to get something from this game.

GOAL - West Brom 1-0 Stokepublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February 2017

    James Morrison (6 mins)

Goals galore early on in the Premier League! West Brom lead at The Hawthorns, Tony Pulis sticking it to former club Stoke City. It's James Morrison, who scored in the week against Sunderland, running behind the Potters' defence and sliding home from Nacer Chadli's through ball.
