    Hull City

Bottom of the league and with a paper-thin squad, Hull needed a busy transfer deadline day. And they got one.

They completed the permanent signing of Rennes winger Kamil Grosicki and secured a loan deal for Villarreal midfielder Alfred N'Diaye.

Polish international Grosicki, 28, joins on a three-and-a-half-year deal, having scored four times in 13 appearances his term.

N'Diaye, 26, is a Senegal international who made 16 appearances for Sunderland in a loan stint four years ago.

Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia also joined on loan earlier in the day.

Will they make a difference? Are Hull better off than on New Year's Day?

There can be no new signings now. No chance to rectify a defensive deficiency or a lack of goals.
