If you have got a whole bunch of strikers on the pitch, who all can play football and are pacey, there is every chance that can happen.

    It looked so easy.

    Kevin de Bruyne (17 mins)

How easy did Manchester City make this look?!

Very. A slack pass on the halfway line puts the visitors in possession, Kevin de Bruyne slides in Gabriel Jesus down the right, he returns the pass first time and De Bruyne just opens up his body and passes the ball home from 15 yards.

    Slick.

Aleksandar Kolarov it is to take, he pings it goalward but it flicks off the head of Mark Noble and away for a corner. Leroy Sane then puts in a low cross but it doesn't reach Gabriel Jesus.

That is second time Noble has dived into a challenge.

You don't want to give away free-kicks 22-yards out when you're playing the likes of Silva, De Bruyne, Kolarov and Yaya Toure.

Michail Antonio has looked really sharp. He really wants to have a go at John Stones in that inside left area.

There have been a number of ways City have played this season but tonight they look very Barcelona-like.

They are closing down very quickly but when they get the ball it is, calm down, relax and tire teams out by making them chase you.

Have City found a star? Gabriel Jesus is blockbusting to watch, he drifts out to the right and sucks in three defenders before skipping away from the lot with one little shimmy. No end product with his cross mind.

For the third time in 22 days, Manchester United and Hull face each other.

So far it is one win each, although the defeat was still a win for Jose Mourinho's side given they reached the EFL Cup final.

And it is fair to say history favours the hosts tonight.

Last time Hull won here was 1952, so long ago Winston Churchill was Prime Minister and The Queen was still Princess Elizabeth.

City win a corner and though David Silva appears to have miscued his cross, it runs through to Raheem Sterling on the edge of the area and he blazes a shot wide. Got hold of that but couldn't keep it on target.

There is also a big game over in Spain tonight.

Atletico Madrid are hosting Barcelona in their Copa del Rey semi-final first leg.

There is no cup rotation in Madrid. The big names on both sides - Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and Antoine Griezmann - are all in the starting line-ups.
