Liverpool deserved to take the lead - they started the game better - but Plymouth have responded really well, kept their heads up and got the balls into Liverpool's penalty area.

Liverpool have got the lead, but by no means has it been a stroll for them so far. Plymouth can't play 4-3-3 against Liverpool as they would get absolutely destroyed.

They have to be a bit cautious but they have got the ball wide to Jervis and Carey but Derek Adams will want his team to have more shots on the Liverpool goal.

Slim pickings on the chances front. Norwich have created none, Southampton one. There were 16 changes made by these sides - and it shows.

    Southampton 0-0 Norwich

    Steve Claridge

There has been very little action. Norwich have come here to defend, it looks like they want penalties from the start. And Southampton have no balance or shape. It is a tempo-less game. It is a little bit like when England play - the shape is wrong. Very little quality. This has got penalties written all over it.
