Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
QPR manager Ian Holloway told BBC Radio London:
"I had the pleasure of meeting Jaap Stam in a previous job and he was just immense. Sitting and talking to him, with how down to earth he is, and you can only be in admiration of him.
"I'm pleased for him as he has been sensational for Reading in a time of turmoil where they may be selling the club again.
"He's got a Dutch approach and he has worked very hard and improved nearly every single player. He is six months ahead of where I want to be."
Full match commentary of tonight's game is available on BBC local radio from both BBC Radio Berkshire and BBC Radio London.
Unfortunately broadcasting rights restrict the coverage from being available online but if you live in the local area, full frequency details are available here.

Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
Reading's last Championship home match against Fulham on 30 December failed to go the full 90 minutes after heavy fog forced it to be abandoned at half-time.
Tonight, it's snow that could threaten proceedings with flurries forecast to pass through Berkshire pre kick-off.
Emily Wood has the local forecast above while you can keep up with local travel and weather news here.
Orange ball anyone? The picture below shows the scene at the Madejski Stadium a short time ago.
Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
Fingers crossed this evening's meeting at the Madejski Stadium will be much more entertaining than the corresponding fixture last season, also on a Thursday night, back in December 2015.
I kid you not, it's the closest I've ever come to falling asleep in a press box until Nedum Onuoha's late header squirmed through Ali Al Habsi's legs to give Rangers a 1-0 win.
But, the game was actually more notable for what followed.
Interim Rangers boss Neil Warnock handed the reins to Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink the next day, while Reading chose to part company with Steve Clarke within 12 hours.
Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
Chris Gunter captains Reading in his 400th club appearance as Paul McShane remains out with a wrist injury. Jordan Obita replaces Tyler Blackett at left-back, with Jon Swift replacing George Evans in centre midfield.
QPR name new loan signing Kazenga LuaLua (pictured above) among their substitutes, while Ian Holloway makes four changes to the starting XI which lost to Blackburn in the FA Cup - Alex Smithies, Darnell Furlong, Ryan Manning and Idrissa Sylla all returning.
Reading: Al Habsi, Gunter, Obita, Van den Berg, L Moore, Swift, Williams, Kelly, Beerens, McCleary, Kermorgant.
Substitutes: S Moore, Cooper, Evans, Samuel, Wieser, Meite, Watson.
QPR: Smithies, Bidwel, Lynch, Hall, Onuoha, Furlong, Luongo, Maning, Mackie, Sylla, Wszolek
Substitutes: Ingram, Douhty, El Khayati, Ngbakoto, Shodipo, LuaLua, Comley.
Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
Last weekend might have ended in FA Cup exits for both sides, but their fortunes in the Championship of late have been more than encouraging.
Reading have won their past three games while QPR have triumphed in their last two.
A win tonight for Reading would see them close the gap on the top two....
Victory for Rangers meanwhile would see them climb to 15th above Ipswich, who they beat 2-1 in their last Championship fixture on 2 January.
Reading v QPR (20:00 GMT)
...that was how the famous Boomtown Rats song went, right?
Maybe not, but Reading fans might be tempted to pen a parody version of Bob Geldof's ditty as the vital statistics don't lie when it comes to the Royals' fortunes on a Thursday.
Reading haven't won a league match on a Thursday since December 1991, drawing three and losing five since.
Good omen from QPR? Stick around with us to find out...
