    Barnsley 2-1 Leeds

Leeds have plenty of attacking options on the bench, but they have to tighten up at the back or this game will get away from them quickly.

Barnsley will be up to eighth in the table if they can hold onto this lead at full-time.

Barnsley have turned the game around, and they deservedly lead in front of their home fans at Oakwell.

It's all about Ryan Kent, who controls the ball on his chest just inside the box, spins around full-back Lewie Coyle and fires low across the goal and into the bottom corner with his left-foot.

Stunning finish from the on-loan Liverpool winger.

    Barnsley 1-1 Leeds

Back under way at Oakwell, as Barnsley captain Conor Hourihane kicks the second half off.

Just 45 minutes to find a winner and earn some Yorkshire derby bragging rights.

    HT: Barnsley 1-1 Leeds

The second half is fast approaching, so might we see any changes to the teams as they emerge from the dressing room?

Barnsley were clearly on top towards the end of the first 45 minutes, but injuries and suspension mean Leeds have very few defensive options on the bench for Garry Monk to turn to.

It's hard to imagine Paul Heckingbottom will look to alter Barnsley's line-up, though Adam Hammill looms as a creative force to bring on if the scores are still level after the hour mark.

    Reaction: Aston Villa 2-2 Preston

After his side battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Villa Park, Preston boss Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"In the first half we were as bad as we have been over the past few weeks - we didn't do the basics right. We didn't lay a glove on them.

"We exchanged a few words at half-time and then you saw the proper team come out in the second half.

"They reacted to the criticism that I gave them at half-time.

"It was great character from us. We might have knicked a 3-2 win, which would have been very greedy."

    Reaction: Newcastle 4-0 Rotherham

    Rafael BenitezImage source, Rex Features

After his side eventually strolled to a 4-0 home win over bottom-of-the-table Rotherham to reclaim top spot in the Championship, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez told BBC Radio 5 live:

"We needed to settle down - the first goal gave us some confidence.

"We had control and then it was just a question of time."

The Magpies had been held by Rotherham until Daryl Murphy's goal deep into first-half stoppage time broke the deadlock.

Chris Wood scores for Leeds against BarnsleyImage source, Rex Features

Barnsley finished the half strongly and are deservedly level at the break, after Chris Wood had put Leeds ahead against the run of play early on.

The Tykes could have been in front as well, as Angus MacDonald guides a header wide with the last touch of the half.

The second half should be a belter. Excellent entertainment so far.

    Tom Bradshaw

    And now Barnsley are level!

Leeds switch off at the back, as a free-kick is taken short to Adam Armstrong on the right.

Armstrong, in acres of space, dinks a cross into the box, where Tom Bradshaw gets in front his marker to guide a header into the net. Lovely finish.

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

    Big chance for Barnsley!

Ryan Kent drifts another beautiful delivery into the box from a free-kick on the left, but Marc Roberts gets too much on his header and sends the ball high and wide of goal.

Kent, much like Pablo Hernandez for Leeds, has been outstanding with his set-pieces.

The Razer: 8 straight league defeats....says it all LJ Out & Rowett In please Mr Lansdown.

It's also 11 league losses in 12 for Bristol City which has left them two points above the Championship relegation zone.

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

It's got a bit scrappy towards the end of this first half, with the two sides more or less cancelling each other out.

Barnsley get chance to put the ball into the box from a free-kick, but they take it short to debutant Gethin Jones, whose cross fails to beat the first man.

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

Leeds pose a major threat from corners, with Barnsley keeper Adam Davies fortunate to get away with a mistake as he flaps at a Pablo Hernandez delivery and misses it completely.

Shortly after though, Barnsley craft a chance of their own, as Ryan Kent's inswinging free-kick picks out Angus MacDonald.

He makes clean contact with his head, but Rob Green gets down to make a comfortable save.

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

Leeds started this game far below their best, but they've got back to their usual levels of play since taking the lead.

Barnsley are tested by a long string of corners, all of which are defended safely.

Tom Bradshaw and Adam Armstrong haven't seen much of the ball up front for the Tykes in the past 15 minutes. Perhaps a change of system will be in order at half-time if things don't change soon?

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

Liam Bridcutt's shot is deflected behind for a Leeds corner, and Chris Wood's header from it is cleared away off the line.

This is a really good game on the pitch, though it's being marred by a little trouble off it.

The two sets of fans had to be separated following Wood's goal, and the police are in the stands again to stop a further flare up.

Pete Fairbairn: An early goal certainly helps when you've stayed up all night to watch at 5am in Sydney - go on Woody!

    Barnsley 0-1 Leeds

If Chris Wood stays healthy, Leeds are a real danger in the Championship this season.

The New Zealand striker has scored 14 more goals than any of his team-mates, and his side are within touching distance of the automatic promotion spots as it stands.

How do Barnsley respond from here?

  17. goal

    Chris Wood

Leeds take the lead with their first chance of the game.

Pablo Hernandez swings the corner in, and Chris Wood meets it with his shin to score his 18th goal of the season.

Barnsley won't believe they're behind. They'd been much the better team up to that point.

    Barnsley 0-0 Leeds

It's hard not to be impressed with this performance from Barnsley, who have looked solid at the back and lively up front against one of the Championship's form teams.

The only question you'd might ask is where the goalscorers are in this side now Sam Winnall has gone.

Their front pair tonight, Adam Armstrong and Tom Bradshaw, have combined for just seven goals in 43 games this season.

  19. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Barnsley 0-0 Leeds

A terrific drilled cross from Adam Armstrong on the left almost opens up an opportunity for Barnsley, but so far Leeds' makeshift centre-back pairing are holding up well.

The visitors have yet to craft a chance of their own in the opening stages - not much for their large contingent of travelling fans to get excited about.
