The fans' view
Tottenham Hotspur
Nothing to see here. It’s highly unlikely that Spurs will do any business today, in or out.
The real work took place over the past year as the first-team squad plus the new breed of youngsters agreed long-term contracts. The resulting photo opportunities with manager Mauricio Pochettino’s paternal arm round the shoulder of a beaming player have become the Tottenham trope, signalling continuity and forward planning. He won’t risk upsetting that.
No rumbles of dissent, just squad harmony and calm determination.

Watford are trying to bring in goalkeeper Tim Krul from Newcastle on loan. The Dutchman has been at Ajax this season.
I played six-a-side near Vale Park last night. Given the Vale's current plight it's no surprise that a scout was there keeping an eye on our balding centre-back.
QPR midfielder Axel Prohouly has joined League One club Port Vale on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old Frenchman has yet to make a first-team appearance for Rangers.
Nicolas Anelka - Manchester City to Fenerbahce (£7m)
Not that it was ever like Nicolas Anelka to cause a fuss.
Le Sulk had been at City for two and a half years, a £13m purchase from PSG. He did well too – 38 goals in 89 Premier League appearances.
But the Frenchman, more clubs that Tiger Woods, was never far from a move, and after reports in France that he criticised then-City boss Kevin Keegan, he was off to Turkey. A year later he joined Bolton.

Wigan's midfielder Jordi Gomez has joined Spanish club Rayo Vallecano on loan for the rest of the season.
He looks a little confused about it...
I'd genuinely forgotten that Ashley Young was still at Manchester United. Do you remember when he used to be a thing?

It is not expected Ashley Young will be leaving Manchester United today.
United manager Jose Mourinho said on Sunday it was possible Young could be sold, although he did not want it to happen.
Young is known to be frustrated at his lack of recent game time but it is understood no deal will happen today.
However, as there has been interest in the former England star from China - and their transfer window does not shut until 28 February, there remains a chance Young could leave.
Gaston Ramirez (Middlesbrough)
Where to? Leicester City
How much? An undisclosed offer has been rejected.
Boro boss Aitor Karanka says he is baffled by Ramirez’s transfer request, but it may well have something to do with the fact that the Uruguayan has not played in the Premier League since 2 January.
According to the Leicester Mercury, the Premier League champions will make an improved bid for Ramirez, but will it be enough to get a deal done in time?

Laura Cooney: Gig tickets. Long term investment, requires patience, occasionally frustrating but pays off eventually.
Matty Hayward: Just bought some snow. I feel he may struggle to settle. Deadline day panic buy.
hola senor: Just confiscated packet of crisps from student. Free transfer but went down too easily and questions remain about fitness.
Notts County manager Kevin Nolan has been registered as a player, according to Magpies owner Alan Hardy.
Hardy appointed Nolan as manager of the struggling League Two club on 12 January, but the 34-year-old midfielder was unable to sign as a player because of the club's transfer embargo.
That has now been lifted and Hardy tweeted, external: "KN has signed and will be the best centre midfielder in the league."

I'm really struggling to get my head around how "who did Everton sign in the transfer window" is fifth on that list.
Firstly, do you really need to go to Google to find out who your club has signed?
Secondly, Everton?

Even with the threat of a gambling-related ban hanging over him, Joey Barton returned to Burnley following a controversial spell at Rangers.
After helping the Clarets to promotion last season, the midfielder is back to help a battle against Premier League relegation that looks likely to be won.
Impossible to keep out of the headlines, Barton scored with a 25-yard free-kick in his first game back to secure victory over Southampton.

Perennial Serie A champions Juventus have decided to stick rather than twist, despite doubts over their midfield.
Bayern Munich's only business this window has been for summer, when they will sign Hoffenheim's Nicklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy.
Germany, of course, will be enjoying the window in its own uniquely sensible way - to be eligible to move to a Bundesliga club on deadline day, players need to be registered on the BL's official transfer list by midday local time. So no 4pm dashes down the autobahn at the drop of a hat, I'm afraid, for you fans of last-minute drama.
