Craig Rigden: Went for a 'Fat Ronaldo' aka sausage sandwich for breakfast and a 'Cristiano Ronaldo' aka chicken Caesar salad for lunch.

Chris Calver: I've bought a Gazebo. Won't be much use now, but has the potential to become a star addition in the next six months.

Chris Forryan from fanzine Leicester Till I Die: "If striker Leonardo Ulloa leaves, we may well go in with a second offer for Middlesbrough’s Gaston Ramirez. Burnley defender Michael Keane was a summer target but with the Premier League champions sitting in the lower half of the table we may not now be such a big draw. Boss Claudio Ranieri may return with a second bid for Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodji. These seem the most likely deadline signings."

We're an hour in. I'll be honest, it's been a sluggish start.

Marvin Emnes is trending on Twitter. That, my friend, is what deadline day is all about.

Nick Robinson: I bought a caramel latte on the way to work this morning, a panic buy that I didn't need, let's see what it does for me.

Jonny Meeson: Purchasing new toothbrush heads! It's been a bumpy transfer with a few teething problems, but the deal should go through...

Joe Willis: Second hand Henry Hoover brought. Bargain & experience.

Is this the first deal of the day?

Where did I put my deal horn?

Blackburn Rovers have re-signed striker Marvin Emnes from Swansea City on loan until the end of the season. The 28-year-old scored three goals in 21 appearances for Rovers during a loan spell in the first half of the season.

Speaking of Paris, sporting director Patrick Kluivert told the media at the presentations of Julian Draxler and Goncalo Guedes on Monday that their window is "closed."

It's been a fairly (uncharacteristically) busy January in France, with Lyon signing Memphis Depay and Marseille inking a deal for Dimitri Payet. If there's a club likely to do more last-minute business it's Marseille, armed with new owner Frank McCourt's millions.

If there are fireworks to be enjoyed on transfer deadline day, very few of them are likely to be let off over the skies of continental Europe. Real Madrid and Barcelona rarely do January business, and 50% of that axis is ruled out anyway, with Zinedine Zidane's club serving their Fifa transfer registration ban.

Barca really could do with a right-back, but nothing has yet come to fruition and it would be a surprise if they sorted anything out at this late stage. Elsewhere, former Bernabeu favourite Jese is set to join his hometown club Las Palmas on loan from Paris St-Germain, having rejected Middlesbrough.

    Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea)

Where to? West Ham, Everton, Leicester, West Brom, Zenit St Petersburg

    How much? Free

A nine-year stay at Stamford Bridge looks set to come to an end for Ivanovic, who has won pretty much everything he can with Chelsea – the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League.

Struggling for first-team football in the Blues’ three-man defence, the Serb has been granted a free transfer and has supposedly agreed a deal with Zenit St Petersburg worth £82,000 a week.

However, with the 32-year-old having family in London, staying in the Premier League may be preferable.

Jonathan Woodgate - Leeds to Newcastle (£9m)

The novelty of the first January transfer window was a nightmare for fans of cash-strapped Leeds, who had already seen Olivier Dacourt, Robbie Fowler and Lee Bowyer leave Elland Road.

Woodgate’s departure, on the first winter deadline day, was a final kick in the teeth. He didn’t stay long at Newcastle, within a year he was joining Real Madrid to become La Liga’s “worst signing of the 21st century” according to readers of Spanish newspaper Marca.

His £9m fee accounted for more than a quarter of the £35m total Premier League January spend.

  14. Derby and Norwich want Wigan's Wildschutpublished at 08:35 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2017

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

Championship promotion chasers Derby and Norwich are trying to get a deadline day deal done for Wigan winger Yanic Wildschut.

Wigan confirmed last night Wildschut had handed in a transfer request but their valuation of the player is yet to be met.

Wildschut only joined Wigan for £1m from Middlesbrough on a three-and-a-half-year deal 12 months ago.

It is understood the fees being offered so far hover around the £4m mark.

Should Wildschut leave, Wigan manager Warren Joyce will aim to get a replacement in.
